Through wind and rain we got herrrrreeee, at number 14. 'Untouchable' is the next video to drop out in this countdown, which I think is a slight shame. It's a great video and it sees the girls falling from Space in giant, UFO-type, hamster balls as they sing and dance in them. Not a lot goes on (bar them "falling to Earth"), but I think it's a visual feast. It really serves it's purpose and does it's job very well I think. The GA stans seem to dislike it/think it's only average though.

So there we have it. The final One Direction has fallen short and managed to "only" finish at number 13. It's such a shame that 'Best Song Ever' couldn't even finish in the top 10 here as I think it's easily the best video in this whole countdown. We still have a couple of average Sats videos going strong and One Direction fail to get any video top 10, despite having the most consistently good music videos here? Pfft. Whatever Trevor. The video is a mini movie in itself. Clocking a run time over 6 minutes and features the band members as various characters in the video (most notably Liam playing a very camp choreographer and Zayn dressing up in drag). It was used to promote their first (?) concert film and instead of doing a run of the mill, live video, they decided to incorporate footage in other ways and give us a brilliant, creative video instead.

At number 12 we have one of the greatest pop songs in recent years. The pop masterpiece that is, 'Higher' (shut up Ultraviolence!). The pop video of a gener... oh wait. Erm.. Yeah apparently this is the 12th best video in this countdown. Really Buzzjack? Like, is it really THAT good? Take off those tinted glasses... It's alright as far as pop videos are concerned, but that's literally it for me. A couple of standout moments (the zebra crossing and then the synchronised benchography), but that's all really. Apart from them it's just a standard pop video for me and I do think it's a tad too high. But there we go. You guys have voted.

Just missing out on the top 10 in 11th place is 'Disco Love' by The Saturdays. In a similar vein to 'Higher' really, a very good video, but nothinng groundbreaking or anything making it worth the 11th position it's currently finished in, for me personally. It does the job and sells the song effectively (by literally going back in time to 1979/89/99 etc...) which I'm not moaning about, I just can't believe that we've lost some proper gems over this and 'Higher'. But I put that down to The Sats loyal (or rabid? You decide kinkkkkkk) Buzzjack fanbase. Like I said, it's not a video worthy of finishing in the bottom 5 in the countdown etc... it just doesn't (for me) deserve to be that high...

 

Congrats to 'Disco Love' though. Being the first song to score above an average of 8!

I know I'm a bit of a stan for them but I fail to see how in a music video rate that is not at least top 5. There's characters, a storyline, humour and it was extremely well executed. I'd be curious to know the reasons why some people didn't give it at least an 8.

- PLEASE remember this is a VIDEO rate. Please don't just vote for your favourite songs. If you feel they have the complete package, fair enough. But some of the meh songs do have great videos etc... (Little Mix - How Ya Doin'?/Word Up or GA vs. SB - Walk This Way for example) and some of the more liked songs have completely average videos (Girls Aloud - Call The Shots/Something Kinda Ooooh for example)*

Well that's completely ridiculous. I can't begin to IMAGINE Call The Shots without the visuals. And Something Kinda Ooooh deserves credit for the sheer amount of eyeliner on display.

I just didn't find Best Song Ever the slightest bit funny but I did think the acting was MAJORLY cringe worthy.

Denial is in my honest opinion, the BEST video of all time. So sad to see it go :cry:

I find most of the Girls Aloud videos to be underwhelming yet I'm not surprised they have 4 in the Top 10. I do think it's sad to see One Direction flop so hard in this because yes, they did deserve to do better. They have some very solid videos but I think the poor acting and the ridiculousness of them can be a bit off-putting. I guess it's sort of hard to be objective when doing rates like this.

So I'm watching the Call The Shots video for the god-knows-how-many-times today and wondering how it can not be a good video when there's several narratives in it that touch the heart more than Best Song Ever does.
