21. Nicki Minaj ft. Skylar Grey - Bed Of Lies

 

I didn't even see this being a single, but then her entire discography is full of these moments of missed opportunities and blink-and-you'll-miss them single releases. 'Bed Of Lies' was apparently the fourth single from the album and featured the tender vocals of Skylar Grey. It really works as a song from me, not innovative or ground-breaking in any way but her raps infused between that big chorus is a delight. The lyrics match many of the album's themes - it is about Nicki herself, her career, her relationships and her life. A lovely song but ultimately a bit forgettable especially compared to the many other highs that she has out her name to. I don't think it's particularly hated, just a bit too subtle for most?

Between 'Truffle Butter' and 'Beez in the Trap' for me.. Think i'm going for the former~

Only for me as well, one of those nice enough songs you sort of struggle to form an opinion of.

Oh so now the Truffle Butter votes appear after I switch to The Night Is Still Young :P

 

Both can go though, could be similar to Kanye here with the all most recent tracks going early (save Pills N Potions I would imagine).

Why do people enjoy Massive Attack so much, it just lacks any real direction as if she is just saying words randomly. I don't know but it's just pretty naff for me :(

I'm going with Truffle Butter because it's the only song I've never clicked with on the list.

Shame that 'Bed Of Lies' has gone so early. Hardly one of her best but I still think it's lovely and better than a good 6 or 7 other songs here.

Why are y'all hating on Bed of Lies? :nono: I thought that one was quite good :(

 

Good to see Beez seeming to be the next one out as that was pretty awful. Still voted Anaconda as it did scaringly well in the chart :drama:
