May 31, 201510 yr Who the judges/presenters predicted to win: (this was after the auditions stage) David: Jeffrey Drayton Alesha: Entity Allstars Amanda: Revelation Avenue Simon: Cally (Balloon Popping Dog) Ant & Dec: Boyband Stephen: IMD Legion Edited May 31, 201510 yr by Dobbo
May 31, 201510 yr The right top 3 based on Tonight imo. I wouldn't mind the magician winning instead of Matisse but overall a really good final. One small negative. I've had enough of dance troupes..

May 31, 201510 yr The result suggests that you are not alone  Don't get me wrong they are talented and all but so bored of the somersaults/spinning on the floor etc that every act does and I don't know why but it doesn't seem to work as well on the live shows as in the auditions. May 31, 201510 yr Don't get me wrong they are talented and all but so bored of the somersaults/spinning on the floor etc that every act does and I don't know why but it doesn't seem to work as well on the live shows as in the auditions. That's an interesting question. Here's a guess at an answer (and it is just a guess). Maybe, a lot of the dance acts are used to performing in a fairly small space. That comes across well on television, as the cameras can show everything that is going on. By the time of the live rounds, perhaps they are using the whole of the stage more. Obviously, they have rehearsals, including an opportunity for the director to choose the best shot at any time. Even so, that still means that the television audience may not get the best view. The same sort of thing can happen in sport. I've known football fans who have been critical of certain players but whose views have changed when they have been to a match and seen them play. That has given the chance to see how much work they do off the ball and away form the cameras.
June 1, 201510 yr Jamie is way more talented and I enjoyed his magic tricks so he should have won. Jules did not deserve to win at all. Jules & Matisse are the adult versions of Ashleigh & Pudsey Edited June 1, 201510 yr by Hadji

The TV Cameras will often pan in on one individual or a section of the troupe and you lose the synchronisation element which to me is the only thing that makes it interesting. That and the routines are getting very samey. It just become reshuffling the moves. Shame as it must take a hell of a lot of work but its just not having any impact anymore (for me anyway)
June 1, 201510 yr Author So beyond delighted Jules and Matisse won :cheer: The 3rd time now the best act by miles has won (after Ashleigh and Pudsey and Attraction). What an inventive, amazing, talented act which was fun, beautiful, perfect and flawless :cheer: If I have to be honest I was actually crying a little bit after they performed and after they won :kink: It was also good they won as I was the only one out of 6 in my house wanting them to win so that was a nice feeling  Also I voted 7 times for them  I really like Andrea's performance, it was really beautiful  The other dancing thing though was a waste of time and I wish they got in a different special guest.
June 1, 201510 yr Author Is anyone else finding Kevin a bit rude, when Jamie went to take his hand before the break he ignored him, then never bothered to congratulate the other 2 there  maybe I am just being a little harsh? :P You're not being a little harsh, I was thinking the exact same thing :P Also I really enjoyed Old Men Grooving tonight, found it really fun :)

June 1, 201510 yr Haven't Jules & Matisse won at Crufts if I'm not mistaken? I'm sure they won Heelwork To Music- Freestyle International in 2013?

Shame as it must take a hell of a lot of work but its just not having any impact anymore (for me anyway) As others have said, Diversity set the bar so high that it is difficult for other acts to follow. There's always going to be a feeling that "Yes, they are very good, but not a good as Diversity". That's why acts like Attraction and UDI are more appealing to me.

It wasn't quite as good on the live shows but I think they deserved a much higher placing in the final. Going 2nd pretty much killed it for them.
June 1, 201510 yr People everywhere are saying "ugh, another dog act winning" - as opposed to another human winning, right? :P

June 1, 201510 yr All caught up today, utterly THRILLED that Jules and Matisse managed to clinch the win! The routine was so gripping, particularly the tightrope segment! The ending also brought a bit of a tear to my eye, haha. In fact probably my ideal top three, as Jamie pulled it out of the bag tonight, I think the whole helicopter thing was a bit TOO farfetched whereas this felt far more slick and the presenting was back to being top-notch after a few slip-ups in the semis. The choir were majestic also, and I'm usually not a fan of them, spine-tingling arrangements and song choices. Thrilled that Callum came as low as 6th, he was painfully overrated throughout. The second half wiped the floor clean with the first half, really! Brilliant final on the whole.
June 1, 201510 yr I see a few people are saying that it's "wrong" for a different dog to be used, but really? It's still a dog on a tightrope, Matisse or not! Really impressive and deserved the win.
