Yeah i've just seen that it's both Bones broken. His season is over which is a complete shame as it started so well.

I was 3.5 weeks in a cast then 3 weeks in a moon boot so was walking normally again by Christmas from a shattered Fibula and an ankle break. Adding the Tibia to that tho would massively extend that just because it's such a bigger bone.

If he's lucky he might be starting to walk by Christmas. The fact that he's 20 really helps here

Yeah it's awful for him, and I think the standard leg break is out of actions for a while. The big ones I can remember (Cisse, Eduardo, Ramsey) it took them a long time to get back. Then you have to factor in rehabilitation etc. - the fact he's been tweeting, makes it look as if it was a fairly clean break, so no major complications. Got the same break as Ramsey, so looking at 9 months out.

I would guess at least six months. That would put his chances of playing in the Euros at close to nil :(

Obviously a lot of players have tweeted supportive messages this evening. It was good to see that Aaron Ramsey was one of the first. Overall, the tweets from football fans have been positive, although there have, of course, been some idiots.

One positive that can be taken is that it's not a career ending injury the way things seem now. For such a young man at 20 years old having to retire could potentially ruin the rest of his life.

Indeed. When I started watching football, that would almost certainly have meant the end of a career. The player would also have been left with very little money to compensate. This is clearly a major setback for Luke Shaw, but he could still go on to have a great career.

A big setback for Shaw. Absolute horrific injury to him. Should be back next season hopefully.

He's got no chance of playing at the Euros in my opinion. Even if by some drastic miracle he is fit, I don't think going to a major tournament would be wise for him. He would be better rehabilitating to make sure he's ready for next season. I'm sure in his mind, his aim would be to be fit for the Euros but I just can't see it myself. Big loss for England, but I suppose for once, we actually have a few natural left backs!

Haven't UEFA said that there will be no further action taken on Moreno over the Shaw tackle. At least he apologised.

And your point is? If there's such a huge gravitational pull towards Old Trafford then the circumstance or nature of the goal should surely not come into any sort of relevance? Fact of the matter is there isn't and a few Liverpool fans were just narked cause Tyler enjoyed the goal.

That Luke Shaw injury looks sickening. Such a shame given his start to the season. He was the only player on the pitch in the first half v Liverpool who had remotely anything about him.

My point clearly was to retort you comparing a goal in the fifth league game of the season to one of the most dramatic goals in the entire history if the premier league.

Eva Carniero is wasted at Chelsea, she should make the journey up north to Manchester United instead. She would be a great asset to us and definitely wouldn't be taken for granted like she is at Chelsea.

First Manager To Be Sacked:

Brendan Rodgers 6-4f

Dick Advocaat 5-2

Jose Mourinho 5-1

Tim Sherwood 10-1

Steve McClaren 10-1

Tony Pulis 16-1

Mauricio Pochettino 18-1

Quique Flores 20-1

Ronald Koeman 20-1

Mark Hughes 20-1

Slaven Bilic 25-1

Roberto Martinez 33-1

Louis van Gaal 33-1

Eddie Howe 33-1

Alex Neil 40-1

Claudio Ranieri 40-1

Manuel Pellegrini 50-1

Garry Monk 50-1

Alan Pardew 50-1

Arsene Wenger 66-1

But wouldn't Jose Mourinho just say sod it all and walk again before he'd be sacked?

Well, that was everything I imagine in a Chelsea Arsenal match to be honest...

As in chippy, contentious play, moreso from Chelsea than Arsenal?

Pretty much. Chelsea winning 2-0 as well and Arsenal just not looking like title winners.

That is amazing from West Ham but I did call it. Soon as the Euro football starts City begin to look shaky, they fully capitalised on it!

West Ham now winning at Emirates, Anfield and now at City!

Massive win for Chelsea and thankfully reduced the gap to 8 which is achievable to overcome. Fantastic start for West Ham and Leicester.
