Don't celebrate too early Everton. Once again denied by a 98th minute leveller.

They did exactly the same against Bournemouth. 2-0 up, pegged back to 2-2 then a late goal to go 3-2 up, followed by an equaliser beyond the signalled stoppage time. In each case, the referee, rightly, played beyond the signalled time to allow for the Everton goal. The only difference is that the Bournemouth goal wasn't offside.

What an absolute horrible match.

It's a massive must win for Liverpool, I really hope they manage to snatch the winner, the further Man United down the table, the better! Horrible team.

Meh what can you say really, two very average teams. Liverpool got their tactics spot on and limited Man Utd to nothing. They had no threat all game apart from the goal. Liverpool on the other hand should have had the game out of sight by half time. Finish 5th/6th now has got to be the aim.

Gut wrenching really. Only saving Grace is that we will get better once Klopp puts a knife in the squad come the summer. Hopefully Man Utd will do the right thing and appoint Giggs as manager.

Crucial result that, definitely had the feel of a 1-0 either way scrape. Lucky that Liverpool failed to take any of their chances & we did with our one!
Rooney with 5 in 4 in 2016 so far. Nobody seems to have noted his promising form.

Could have won about 5-0. Real shame, but gotta look at the positives - I think we will be a force next season.

What hurts the most is that's the worst team we've played this season and we've been sucker punched. Worst Utd side I've ever seen!

Easy to say that but in the event you did go 1 or 2-0 up I doubt you'd have continued in the same fashion so 5 might be a stretch

We're not amazing but we had a worse squad under Moyes no question there. LVG has axed some good players (Hernandez the clear example) but he has at least got rid of the deadwood that was polluting Fergie's team.

Massive point for Arsenal, Stoke is such a difficult place to go.

Maybe so but we missed way too many good chances. Better squad or not, that was still the worst performance I've seen all season. We are painfully average, but we contained Man Utd all game (we never do this!).

Whether it was a poor performance or whether our team is worse or not we won today and that is what matters. We're 3 points better off than we were this time yesterday so it's a good day for all connected to Man Utd.

It's a good 3 points yes. When Bale, Ronaldo and Neymar come back from injury you will rip the league up.

:D

Assuming that Rooney was inevitably going to start in the Euros regardless, his recent form has to be good news for England. Although it'd be a shame if he keeps Kane out of the starting XI.

a formation of 4-1-3-2 would be nice with Rooney and Kane in front of one central midfielder and two wingers~

We would be get cained against any top team, not enough defensive protection there.

If Kane plays, Rooney could play as a Number 10 against weaker sides or as part of a flexible front 3.
