Yep, not even a single week in the top 5 for that one!

On the same topic, there was Union J's 2-34-71-out run for 'You Got It All', which must be up there for a 'naturally' falling single (i.e. not related to a campaign or anything).

Otherwise, Alex Day's 4-out of the top 100 for the single I can't recall the name of must take it?

there was Forever Yours and Ding-Dong The Witch Is Dead, which both fell out the chart altogether the following week (EDIT: actually the latter did have a 2nd week, ignore me~)

Alex Day - Forever Yours 4-OUT

Delerious? - History Makers 4-61-OUT

Doves - There Goes The Fear 3-34-70-OUT

Elyar Fox - Do It All Over Again 5-16-49-OUT

Gareth Malone's All Star Choir - Wake Me Up 1-7-54-OUT

Lou Monte - Dominick The Donkey 3-41-OUT

Manic Street Preachers - The Love Of Richard Nixon 2-22-45-75-OUT

Manic Street Preachers - Empty Souls 2-26-46-70-OUT

The Wealdstone Raider - Got No Fans 5-46-OUT

The Wanted - I Found You 3-20-29-50-OUT

The Wizard Of Oz Film Cast - Ding! Dong! The Witch Is Dead 2-65-OUT

Trashmen - Surfin' Bird 50-x-3-41-OUT

Union J - You Got It All 2-34-71-OUT

Vanessa Jenkins & Bryn West feat. Sir Tom Jones & Robin Gibb - (Barry) Islands In The Stream 1-3-23-51-OUT

Gareth Malone's All Star Choir ~ Wake Me Up! 1-7-54-OUT
Didn't the X Factor 2011 Finalist charity song go 1-2-48 out or something?

The X Factor Finalists 2011 ~ Wishing On A Star (feat. JLS & One Direction) 1-2-17-48-OUT

This one is regularly brought up as the biggest faller from the top 5 in the 90s:

Placebo - You Don't Care About Us 5-26-40-45-64

Which is a shame, as it's one of my favourite songs ever.

Doves - There Goes The Fear 3-34-70-OUT

One of the best songs of the decade, it dates from the CD era (2002) and the single was a limited edition that was released and deleted on the same day, hence the low chart run. Definitely worth a listen!

It may not have got as high as no.3 if it hadn't been a limited edition, I guess that was part of the novelty for some buyers who may have either waited or never bought it at all.

That said, it's a nice little song although I always preferred follow up Pounding which should have been HUGE but sadly wasn't :(

Most shameful # 1 ever :

Killing In The Name : 1-2-40-100-OUT

Shame?
