'Some Nights' was the far better of the two fun. hits but I still like 'We Are Young' as well.

We Are Young <3 was quite strange at the time to see a song like this becoming huge, brings back some nice memories

Call Me Maybe is very enjoyable nowadays too, 2012 doing a lot of things right :o

Some Nights is better than We Are Young but I still can enjoy it. Call Me Maybe is just fun and a forever classic.

And Gotye is the perfect end to this great year, fantastic #1 and a song I can never ever get bored of.

Really amazing still that the public got behind this Gotye song so much.

It's time for me to take over ~ Will just be bare bones posts I'm afraid.

Somebody That I Used To Know  DEFINING HIT OF THE DECADE, words cannot describe how well-remembered it is

(in all seriousness though yes, this is extremely good and as Dandy said, an unlikely #1/year-end #1 :o)

20. Olly Murs - Dear Darlin'

Olly Murs' best song  A good start. Unfortunately the next two songs are both horrors. Spoilers.

Still love Somebody That I Used to Know, bizarre number 1 really especially seeing as it's not that prominently remembered these days, but a great representation of 2012's diverse music~

2013 now, this was mainly great if not for a mass of super overplayed songs.

Ooh a wondrous start to this 2013 section, my favourite Olly song.

This was so different for him but ultimately paid off <3

19. Icona Pop - I Love It (feat. Charli XCX)

Irritating Scandi-electro song that introduced Charli XCX to the chart. Thanks for that. Thanks a bunch Icona Pop.

18. will.i.am - Scream & Shout (feat. Britney Spears)

One of the few will.i.am songs I don't like. Blame Britney.
