Hello BJSC peoples!!!!

 

Today we come with some great and, dare I say it, historic news. For the first time in BJSC we are looking for a new moderator, not because you've forced one of my team into retirement because of a mental breakdown, but because we are expanding our team!

 

We are looking for a 5th moderator to join our fabulous team of Phil (Silas), Cal, Jack (Jahq) & Yu (Oricon)!

 

It's the first time we've recruited in a wee while so a few things have changed operationally within the BJSC Management System since our last recruitment round. Our new appointee will be required to take on the standard BJSC mod duties:

 

- Actively participate in the BJSC Veto Process.

- Be happy communicating with hosts on dates, acquiring song lists and veto decisions.

- Participating in all mod forum discussions covering a diverse area from rule updates to new features.

- Respecting the confidentiality of the mod forum, AT ALL TIMES.

- From time to time the appointee may be required to update essential resources

- Working with the other BJSC mods as part of a team.

 

But we are primarily looking for someone to take a lead role in developing our spin-off section.

 

If you think that you could assist us in developing the Spin-off section and would like to join one of the best and most effective mod teams, with probably one of the highest degrees of freedom, on the forum then you're gonna need to PM me (Silas) to tell me why we should pick you.

I nominate Bre. I know he's already modifying many fors already but he seems very keen on doing the stats for every contest and the leaderboard updates last contest. And how he hosted his contest was very good and formatted.

I'd nominate Seven or RabbitFroot as I think they would be excellent additions. Ryan or Bre next (Bre coming for BJ domination) Bal would also be a fabulous choice. I just hope somebody is chosen who has been around for long enough!

Seriously Bre and Robot did a great job helping out yesterday, any of the 2 will be a great addition to the team.

I definitely think Bre would be fab at this job anyway so I won't be applying. The other names Lee mentioned are good too

In an ideal world the person we appoint will be someone who isn't a moderator currently.

 

That's the general mood of the site management lately. We will take the person who we feel has the most potential to do this role well. Regardless of past contributions to the contest or length of service. This isn't about how much someone has contributed to the Stats of the contest, this is about someone with enough time to dedicate to the Spin-off section. Something that will require a little more energy than someone who is splitting their focus over multiple MFs can give it.

Yeah I'm not going to apply as I'm already a moderator of 2 other large forums... :lol: I do enough stuff in here without being a mod as it is ~ (plus I may suddenly have far, far less free time in the near future what with university and such).

I would be too new to BJSC to even consider this, on top of the amount of work required (even seeing the hosting makes me dizzy :blink:)

That you have more chance of being able to see an electron without the use of even a basic bitch microscope than you do of becoming a BJSC moderator.
