It’s coming through now that no.10 had ‘wine time Fridays’ throughout the pandemic which Johnson sometimes attended but always encouraged.

They did what now.

How on earth did this happen for 2 years without the Met being complicit in actively covering this up. Like I’m sorry but there’s no way the protection officers didn’t know about this and if they claim otherwise then exactly what were they doing when they should have been doing their jobs? That’s sackable conduct.

I'm beginning to wonder whether any Downing Street staff were ever sober. it could explain a lot.

Weren't there rumours that Blojo was an alcoholic at one point?

The 1-2-punch of Andrew and Bojo really is making the UK look like a fool in the international press. Especially after the whole Brexit debacle already

Yes there are rumours even today that he can't go an afternoon without a glass of wine. Maybe wine taster for his next job? :D

Unfortunately I've had the misfortune of listening to people who defend him today. Some peoples capability for mental gymnastics is astounding - unsurprisingly those who were inclined to break the rules in the first place quite inclined to go 'they were just doing what we were all doing.'

yes there was one of them on Radio 2 to which I loudly shouted "f*** off and speak for yourself you twat!" to nobody at all just to get it out of my system. As I said, evidence of being a complete moron as it's basically "oh it's OK to murder people cos we all do that, the law is just a lifestyle suggestion not an actual law. Besides, who hasn't felt like murdering someone, perfectly normal human nature and the PM was just being one of us when he accidentally murdered a few people and his hard-working staff deserve some leeway when they were out murdering people after a few drinks after working so hard putting in these laws-that-weren't-laws-actually"

It's called feebly trying to justify the unjustifiable and it's pretty easy to demolish those sort of comments with a little bitter saracsm

Me, I think it's all the work of our good friend Dominic waiting for the right moment to get the knife in when the cronies can't try and poo-poo what Johnson's been up to for 2 years. The usual behaviour amongst the elite is to group together with mutually-assured destruction - "if I go down then you go down too" information on each other. That only works as long as you have either something to lose or a non-disclosure agreement in place. Johnson clearly made a huge error of judgement not getting Dom to sign one when his girlfriend decided Cummings should go...

Let's be honest if this whole ordeal had been a thick of it storyline we'd have accused the show of losing it's touch and getting a bit silly....

It is worth noting that the former director of communications, whose departure was the reason for one of the pre-funeral parties, had left his job to become deputy editor of the Sun. I wonder why that paper didn't break the story months ago. After all, they had a witness right there on the premises.
I think that really goes to show how embedded into the Tory establishment the mainstream British media actually is. And also how much Power they have but only when they want to use it to further their owners ideology and agenda

Wouldn't be surprised if he's on a 5 day drinking binge somewhere private - he'll have to face the music sometime though!

AABSOLUTELY!!! Democracy doesn't really exist here.

Dorries going after the BBC accusing it of a left-wing bias and forcing it to find 2bn in savings.

The BBC that's been a government mouthpiece for the past few years? Might explain the slightly less cloying BBC news pages in the past few weeks now they know being Boris's Broadcasters won't get them saved from the Dorries axe.

Honestly this stinks of a government that knows it's on it's way out - the next real discussion won't be til 2025 - which means they likely chastise Labour who'll be in by then of 'not scrapping the licence fee, which we would have done' despite the fact they've had 14 years by that point to do it. How many more of these ridiculous smoke and mirrors tricks are we going to get?

You have to be pretty delusional and or thick as f*** to think the BBC are biased against the Government. Luckily for Dorris she’s both.

It must be nice to be unburdened by common sense, intelligence, or reality.

These far right fools truly believe their government is above the law - hallmark of fascism - and cannot abide any criticism of their holy leader!

Did someone mention me? :o

I saw my co-worker in floods of tears this week because her father died during one of the lockdowns and they were not allowed to see him in hospital meanwhile it has come out that these w*n**rs had a party at number 10 at the same time. I don't think I've ever felt so angry towards our government I am livid and I don't understand why they are not being investigated for breaking the law and locked up nevermind this Sue Gray bollocks investigation get them fined, doing community service or locked up!

He is a true man of the people, a true statesman, and remember, the ruling classes only attacked HIM as a proxy for US. They came for us, and he was just in the way x
