LBC saying he's still refusing to do an Andrew Neil interview and they can't really force him. No.10 and Tory CO just keep saying they'll get back to the BBC but never do so just playing for time as not many days left now.

I fully agree he should do it.

It's a disgrace, they should t have let him hear the Marr show to spout his patriotic BS after the attack on Friday.

Well they said the country should hear from it's leader after Friday's attack.

We should also here from a man who wants to be elected as PM but he refuses more media interviews than he accepts.

Funny how they didn't say the same in 2017.

Iro the NHS, the only thing that'll really get people's attention would be if there were any suggestion that it no longer be free at the point of use - and even the Tories know that would be electoral suicide!

For now. Once all the pharmaceutical prescriptions have been privatised, all the NHS dentists phased out, every GP surgery under a private firm, public sector hospitals run privately so not everyone can get NHS appointments, maybe medical insurance becomes a necessity, whatever the details are, death by a thousand cuts will take hold and even if it does remain free at the point of use, that might not be the constant it once was.

Privatisation must be reversed before economic conservatives start talking about economic realism and how it'd be great to have a free health service but that just really isn't politically possible anymore and oh look the huge American pharmaceutical companies have just injected their investment into it won't that be great for all of us. You get a free market of healthcare choices - and you wouldn't want to take that freedom of choice away from anyone would you?

Exactly, a lot of my friends were going on about private health care and how they need to get it sorted for them. I was biting my tongue but I think they maybe knew I would be wound up and that's why they we re saying it!

I've never been an advocate of leaving everything to the market - there are certain areas where the gov't needs to take charge, health & education for example.

Ofcom has decided not to investigate a Conservative Party impartiality complaint about a Channel 4 special.

The party complained ahead of the Climate Debate on 28 November about C4's intention to "empty chair" the Conservatives with an ice sculpture.

It criticised the channel's refusal to accept Cabinet Minister Michael Gove as the Tory representative if the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, didn't attend.

But Ofcom concluded the Conservative viewpoint had been given due weight.

As long as they had a copy of the email sent from Tory Central Office a few weeks ago stating that they had no intention of sending anyone, Ofcom couldn't really reach any other conclusion.

The cheek of them sending Gove!

LOL. I agree. Boris's dad too. :D

Boris Johnson agrees to This Morning interview with Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby despite still refusing Andrew Neil interrogation

Move comes amid row over Mr Johnson's failure to take part in BBC interview

Boris Johnson has agreed to appear on This Morning before polling day as he continues to refuse to submit to a grilling by the BBC's Andrew Neil.

The prime minister is understood to have confirmed an interview with Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield on the ITV show before next week's general election, with discussions ongoing over the timing of his appearance.

But the move comes amid a row over Mr Johnson's continued failure to take part in a 30-minute one-on-one interview with Mr Neil, the fearsome BBC interrogator.

Labour claimed the prime minister had broken an explicit agreement made between all the political parties and the BBC for a series of leaders' interviews conducted by Mr Neil.

Jeremy Corbyn and the SNP's Nicola Sturgeon have both already faced Mr Neil, with Jo Swinson, the Liberal Democrat leader, and Nigel Farage, scheduled to take part in individual interviews later this week.

Watch out for searching questions on whether to pour the milk or tea first, favourite chocolate bar and whether a door knocker is better than a bell. Yet another sign of Johnson’s cowardice.

They may ask him some very searching questions though.

Have Corbyn and Swinson been on This Morning?

Corbyn was on today I believe?

Tweet from Andrew Neil

"There are not really any negotiations going on. We’re simply waiting on a date, time and venue. As we have for several weeks. So far — not a sausage."
