The larger problem is with this stuff, the general public will eventually get bored so I'd hope Labour find a way to make it resonate with the electorate. The stuff about his flat will go away eventually, but it's clear his current team can't bury and control the bad news right now.

What I can't work out if what is the larger play here from whoever is behind everything. Is it a Leadership bid or are the Tories wanting someone to take the rap for the Pandemic in general? I suppose if you're going to go after the Leader now is the perfect time 3 years before an election. Obviously it's the backbenchers at the heart of it cos they're also bloody moaning about everything.

Pretty much front page of all the papers tomorrow. Not only about the comments but also about the sleaze in the Tory government. We could finally see a proper sustained dent in the tories' polling from this.

Electoral Commission now investigating Johnson's flat..

Cummings really has blown the lid. I'm not sure the Tories can spin this against Labour now as they have started to do over the past 24 hours.

Type right wing projection.

Is that actually real?

What's even funnier is the Bojo/Tory supporters getting their knickers in a twist in the comments section.

We love to see it! *.*

I was actually a bit peed off at them criticising Theresa's John Lewis taste, personally I'd love to and be proud to be able to have some John Lewis furniture in my place.

Some people have suggested that the disparaging remarked about John Lewis might do more damage than the dodgy financial arrangements.

Shock horror, as BJ the clown revealed to be an elite member of the landed aristocracy who thinkd he was born to rule! He looks down on us all so much that even upmarket stores are beneath him. Vile beast.

Gah, I'm feeling that this wallpaper nonsense is not what we need. "Bodies piled high" is so much more damaging in the long run, but now we've got the media class chortling at Starmer standing about in John Lewis. Too much scattershot and nothing sticks, nothing can cut through. Maybe we who are paying attention sees the worst prime minister ever who obviously should resign, I can't help but think it's just going to seem like theatrics to voters and that Tory opponents are desperate. Not that 40% of them seem to have the ability to find fault anymore.

They need to focus in on this lying to Parliament and his conduct over lockdown that the comment implies, as well as the horrific nature of the comment itself - if anything.

Boris is aiming for at least 10 years as PM and wants to beat Thatcher's record of 11 years 6 months.
Why do you support him and also supported Cameron? They are two different parties ideologically now?

He ought to be contemplating ten years in jail.

LOL. Why? He has done nothing wrong, apart from be popular with the electorate, which his political opponents are jealous of, or he'd be under arrest wouldn't he. :o Just because the Tories aren't your party, it's a bit pathetic to wish their leader in jail. Thought you were far more intelligent and reasonable than that Suedy.

Misconduct in public office, resulting in tens of thousands of unnecessary deaths. Misuse of public funds. He must surely be getting very close to breaking bribery laws as well.

The Tories are using that nebulous "commitment to FPTP" in their manifesto to change the electoral system for mayors and police commisioners. They are getting ride of the AV system for PR in order to engineer more Tory wins!!! The dictatorship cannot be seen to lose face in ANYTHING, even in mayoral contests. They must have total control.
