Just discovered this thread and great to see so many others buying the format. I grew up with records and still have most of them. Still like to buy the occasional new release and also fill in some gaps in my collection through discogs and a couple of local shops. Most recent purchases have been some of the Hits compilation series that was introduced as a rival to the Now series. Not too much on the Record Store Day list that I'm after apart from the first vinyl release in 24 years from Shakin' Stevens.

Local shop has ordered in 4 copies so I have a chance if they get any. Failing that there's a more general release on black vinyl later with fan club members getting first oportunity to buy.

Managed to get a 12" of The Charlatans' 1990 single Them from Oxfam for just 99p

A little over a week until Record Store Day *.* I've been using Hans Zimmer / Jacob Shea / David Fleming - 'Blue Planet II' as background music for dissertation writing today and the whole album is just perfect for this sort of thing. Adding it to my RSD wish-list for sure!

I've been getting into vinyl recently - my most recent purchase was the remastered 'Unknown Pleasures' vinyl by Joy Division, I had to get it for the incredible artwork alone *.*

 

Fingers crossed I can get my hands on the Mac DeMarco and Dermot Kennedy vinyls, I bought the original 12" of 'This Old Dog' from HMV at Christmas so having the demos too would be great. Also SUPER interested in the original Joy Division vinyls being released!!

Bank balance has taken a bit of a hit today so I might have to wait until my 21st birthday in August to purchase/receive any more :lol: but I'm more than satisfied with this lot in the meantime.

Got Shaky (2 copies - 1 to play, 1 backup)! And The Undertones 7" box set and The Waterfront 12". And on cassette I got AC/DC - Back In Black.

 

And 2 non RSD titles arrived in the post - Christy Moore - On The Road (3LP) and the new one from Chas & Dave.

My list looks pretty excessive (and I wouldn't like to work out how much all of this cost, lol) but in terms of storage it doesn't actually take up much space! I store all of the 12" records in two of these boxes: (Click Here) and half of one of them still has free space. The 7" singles don't take up much space either.

 

Unless otherwise stated, they're just ordinary black vinyl.

If I've not written a year next to a certain title, it means it came out in the same year that I bought it. (Btw I searched my email account to remember when I purchased some of these; my memory isn't that good! :kink: )
