Lost Frequencies back to #1 next week? Maybe John Newman could have even done it if he was released a week later.

I'm a little surprised 5SOS can't manage top 10 OA/OS after their 2 top 2 hits last year and even getting 'Amnesia' top 10, but top 20 is still solid enough.

If I remember correctly the #1 and #2 gap has got bigger since the last update so it looks like BM will be #1 again.
Little Mix increasing their lead from Lost Frequencies when LF is well ahead on streaming?

Yes but Little Mix are way ahead on sales. Plus their streaming will be increasing on a daily basis.

Little Mix have got it in the bag then, since there's not the weekend streaming effect any more to benefit LF. Also John Newman should be safe for #4.

All the previous singles had physicals to help them, that's ultimately what gave Amnesia a top 10 placing (and She Looks So Perfect was actually #2 on download sales). If this had physicals (and it may do at a later date, not entirely sure) then I'd have no doubt about it being a top 10!

if i understand correctly 'all data in' doesn't necessarily preclude missing spotify data being compensated for by up-weighting data received earlier in the week, for their chart has gone down again ~ there could be more activity in the final chart that expected this week!

boybands have a certain shelf-life, perhaps 5sos even more so than most given how niche their sound is... not sure a pre-order would've helped their case much though, now that they're not front-loaded on to the iTunes chart anymore, as their material doesn't seem to appeal to anyone outside of their core fanbase~

I couldn't disagree more, and I'm not even speaking as a huge 5SOS fan here. Their album has sold well over 200k which, for an album in 2014/15, is a solid amount. She Looks So Perfect had a very good chart run in the end and Don't Stop was quite a decent sized hit too. I think it's completely wrong to suggest their music doesn't appeal to anyone outside the core fanbase because these stats obviously show things differently :P She's Kinda Hot is falling because it's had very little radio play so far, so the casual 5SOS fans might not even be aware of the track yet. I can see it hanging around well in the top 40, or the top 100 at least.

I do think 5 Seconds of Summer are more niche than say One Direction for example. Their rocky sound is less commercial than One Direction's pure pop tracks and that will mean the appeal outside their fanbase is less than it is for other boybands who make commercial pure pop music - see The Vamps also.

I agree with this. I can name at least 5 1D songs, and would recognise them on the radio. I genuinely couldn't recognise a single 5SoS song. Part of this is because 1D are English, so we know far more about them.

Great to see Andrea Faustini's album climbing into the top 10! Hope he holds on.
Also one thing to consider regarding 5 Seconds of Summer... Even if their fanbase had stayed the same, the bigger amount of consuming is now required to reach top ten so not easy. For any act for that matter.
I don't hate 5SOS in the slightest or particularly love them so I feel like I've got an impartial opinion on the matter but personally I can't see She's Kinda Hot performing as well as Don't Stop or She Looks So Perfect because honestly I don't think She's Kinda Hot is as good as the other two. To me it's nowhere near as catchy so how it's doing isn't really that bad. Id imagine they have a bigger single planned that won't be OA/OS that will challenge for number one just as much as the first two singles

Someone spotted his album at the #2 position in a Tesco's yesterday:

Do these feed into the official chart? (Clearly not as it'd have done so by now and #2 would mean it'd practically have to triple its sales in a few days). I can't imagine RCA will be thrilled but it's their own fault for not bothering to promote him - still #10 would be very good under the circumstances. I do generally really like it when X Factor contestants are doing well so they are usually the ones I root for (most occasions).

Great to see Will Young back in the top 30 of the album chart! Hopefully it'll rise a little more as it has done with each midweek update so far. Glad his album has managed to stay top 75 since its debut. Hopefully a 3rd single with strong BBC Radio 2 support and some promotion in Q4 will help the album go silver at the very least!

Kelly? What's the reasoning behind the album title does anybody know? I can't seem to find anything from Google/Wikipedia. :)
