With Spiceboy on this it is PR rubbish. She doesn't deserve it.
What doesn't she deserve?

 

Idc about those honorary doctorates - PR stunt or otherwise. They are what they are and exist. But saying she doesn't "deserve it" when she's getting it for her (and I quote):

 

"work on racial equality and anti-racism as well as her contribution to music"

 

is kind of gross tbh.

 

Literally NONE of you said a damn thing in Geri's thread about it when she received her "honorary doctorate"... (actual CRICKETS) so what's changed? Coz a member of another successful girl group has one? :lol:

Nothing has changed, I don't discuss every single thing on here as there are other places I discuss Spice Girls too.

 

My opinion on Geri's is exactly the same as Leigh-Anne's she doesn't deserve it and hasn't earned it. Fake silly PR nonsense.

 

Just because you do something doesn't mean you qualify for a doctorate in it. There will be thousands of others who do a heck of a lot more for 'work on racial equality' who will never just get handed a doctorate because they aren't famous.

I posted plenty of opinion on Geri's fake degree also actually. I may not have posted it on Buzzjack (although I am pretty certain there was another thread about it) however I posted about it on Spice Circle and got a ton of attacks from the Geri Stans over it so try again.

 

What has she done exactly to warrant this honoury degree? Given some interviews, done a documentary which she got paid handsomely for both of which have kept her in the spotlight to help her own career? What about people who have actively worked with charities for years or campaigned tirelessly and actually made a difference who have not be 'honoured' for their work. She got it because she is famous and it brings attention to the university in the media which helps their profile, no other reason. Same for Geri (although I think hers was because she was friends with the person giving them out so even more sickening), same for Kylie, same for Meryl Streep and all the others.

 

If I were in their shoes I'd be embarrassed quite frankly to stand up there in front of people who have actually worked for it and claim my 'degree.'

 

I'm not taking away from the fact that Leigh-Anne has brought awareness and good on her for speaking out, she should be applauded for that.
