I really honestly think she’s left the group now but they’re hoping that she can be talked round after this break to try and change her mind but to even announce something like this shows whatever is going on is serious.

 

I can see the upcoming tour being pushed back anyways because of COVID related issues anyways not anything to do with the group dynamics but I’d be surprised if Jesy comes back or again I’d be surprised if the break wasn’t less than like 6 months.

That’s not Little Mix’s style though. To fake out a “mental health” break to coverup the fact she’s left and then for the 3 and their team to constantly ask her to change her mind? Come on now. After all we’ve heard from the girls over the last 9 years about how they would call it quits if a member left and that they wouldn’t continue as a 3. Why is it so hard to accept that she’s taken a leave of temporary absence because this year has been absolutely awful for everyone, especially those with really bad mental health? It’s quite disrespectful to constantly paint this as “she’s left” instead of just listening to the announcements made.

Nobody is saying that it’s ‘fake’ though- it’s entirely possible that Jesy’s health isn’t in the best place and she has just said that she has quit and the girls have told her to take some time off and think about I.e the extended break.

 

Has it been confirmed that this is Jesy’s mental health? I just keep seeing them confirming medical reasons but not actually her mental health but I may have missed it.

 

It’s not hard to accept what you’ve said above, but the circumstances have been odd regardless of whether we don’t deserve any further info etc so people are going to speculat.e.

We all know about Jesy's mental health struggles in the past and 2020 has been extra rough on most of us...so it's quite clear Jesy is going through IT at the moment and whether or not that means she ends up working with the girls or decides it's better for her safety to distance herself for a while - we should just respect that and wish her the best at the moment.

Jeez the amount of clickbait titles I saw on Facebook implying she’d left permanently...

I didn’t say any of it was fake it’s clearly genuine like they’re obviously not making it up. But I personally don’t see her returning soon and I feel like the extended break might be longer than what people are assuming.

 

I’d also imagine they wouldn’t be constantly asking her to change her mind too. They’re clearly giving her time away from the band which is something she needs but she may well decide on her own that she doesn’t want to go back to the band (or decided she does). I imagine the other girls are all there for her and are / have been in contact with her wishing her the best as best friends would and work / their new album likely isn’t even on their mind at the moment now release week has passed.

They're not going to say outright IF Jesy has left while there's a new album to shift. Give it till the new year and the CDs already manufactured have been bought as Christmas presents and then they can announce it's all over. I hope it's just the cynic in me typing this and that the group continue as the 4 of them but, I got burnt once already with "Get Well Soon, Geri."

I do honestly believe Jesy needs some time out. We don't know waht's going on in her life, but I Do wish her the best. Without her, there is NO Little Mix. Infact, so many of my friends who are casual LM fans refer to LM as "Jesy and girls". Yes! She's the face of LM.

What difference does it make to the album sales if she's left now? People aren't going to pick up the Confetti CD and put it back down because Jesy isn't there any more, or avoid streaming it for that reason.

 

If anything her leaving would probably boost their sales due to the sheer amount of media attention it would generate.

Agree with this ^ If she was leaving for sure and they announced it, it would give them a huge sales, boost - if they'd done it on album release week they'd probably even have gotten the #1 album

i completely disagree. if jesy is a fans favourite, i wouldn’t have thought they’d want to invest in the band she didn’t want to be in anymore? all the formats of the album, combined with the jesy picture vinyl, the cassette etc maybe getting returned - i don’t think the label would want to take the risk.

 

it’s not just the album either, they have the tour to think about. the amount of jesy fans that may not want to go because she’s not there would be a frightening prospect for the tour promoter/management.

I think people would be more interested in buying the last album as a 4 piece - I don't think people would return the album (she'll still make money from it afterall).
