Is there any new/rumor/update about her solo music? Literally I can’t wait for her to realise something. She always been my favourite and agree that for me she is the most complete of the girls, also I think she is really smart and has really clear what her fanbase is, so I’m expecting a pop banger ala Touch or Sweet Melodies. She was behind Wasabi, probably my fave song, snd a lot of good songs of the group so I believe that she has an incredible potential as a solo artist. Jade has stage presence, amazing vocals and is a great dancer.

 

The other girls mentioned are talented but Jade is the full package and oozes star quality.

 

she might have all those things... but she's not got an identifiable quality about her that distinguishes her from others. Shes going to always be known as Jade from Little Mix. It might come down to gender because the likes of Harry Styles was always so distinguished in 1D, but arguably Beyonce was always highlighted in DC, so them having huge solo success is not a surprise. It's like no-one thought Michelle Williams and Louis Tomlinson were going to have huge solo success, did they?

Nothing wrong with Michelle Williams. She can sing, can dance, and has some charisma too. Who wouldn't be overshadowed when put in a group with Beyoncé?!

I like all three girls but I can't see major success for any of them.

 

They're talented, likeable and will probably get a hit single each at least but not even One Direction's solo careers have been that big and they had a massive fanbase of rapid, obsessed teenage girls buying everything they do.

 

I feel like they'll soon be reminded that being in Little Mix will bring them more success and money than anything they do individually and once the novelty of a solo campaign wears off they'll be back in about six years.

 

(Obviously I'd love them to be massive and I'm dying to hear an album from Jade and Perrie in particular but there's just always something a bit 'off' when group members go solo. I think it's because there's thousands of solo artists out there and very few groups and nothing can really replace group choreography, harmonies and the visuals/dynamic of a band. I'd hate for these girls to just be yet another generic pop female being spammed on Spotify playlists and desperately fighting to get Ed Sheeran on their singles for a hit, you know?)

the difference between little mix and 1d is that harry was already established as a solo act when he was in the group... niall's success is a surprise but realistically he's not even really had a solo hit? The difference here with Little Mix is there's never been one striking stand-out member - maybe Perrie during 'Glory Days' and Jesy during her documentary... i do hope to be proved wrong and i imagine capitol will get behind Jade quite extensivly.

I strongly dislike the narrative of existing popularity will be determinent of success. As if that's not every artist at first. That will be positive fresh slate and having existing fanbase, industry experience and the like simultanesously.

 

And any perception of will always be seen as missing something for the missing harmonies, but thats solely in view of existing fans who expect group formula in solo settings. We have nothing to base anticipated success off of.

Honestly, I can see the girls scoring some decent hits - especially Jade and Perrie.

 

I feel like Jade is slowly getting more and more fans outside the Little Mix fanbase and is quite popular.

Leigh might surprise everyone and become the posh spice of Little Mix.
