February 1, 20196 yr Did they play "Soul Meets Body" ? That's my favourite of theirs, number 1 on my chart in October 2005. 14 years ago almost! Also - love the 02 Academy at Bristol, saw Foals there among many other bands like Friendly Fires. Usually between day shifts and feeling unnecessarily hungover/knackered at work.
February 2, 20196 yr Did they play "Soul Meets Body" ? That's my favourite of theirs, number 1 on my chart in October 2005. 14 years ago almost! Also - love the 02 Academy at Bristol, saw Foals there among many other bands like Friendly Fires. Usually between day shifts and feeling unnecessarily hungover/knackered at work. They did! Just before the encore. Was really happy they played that one, was the first song I learnt to play on guitar (a basic version ofc but still). I love Setlist.fm, you can see the full list here: https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/death-cab-fo...nd-395dd93.html "I Will Possess Your Heart" was such a moment too, so good. For "I Will Follow You Into The Dark" Ben came out on his own for the encore and played it on his own on an acoustic. It's a good venue, I'd already seen PVRIS there, has a good feel to it. I live in Cornwall and often Bristol is the closest place bands/ artists tour to for me, for PVRIS I took the night train (bad idea, was hell- had a change and I didn't get an actual sleeping area thing bc money so got almost no sleep and felt like death), this time I just got a Premier Inn, wasn't too pricey and fortunately I had a free day the day after to get back.

Mariah Carey at the Royal Albert Hall *.* I'm going with Joseph! I've only been to the Royal Albert Hall once before, way back in 2002 for a Christmas Carols concert that my parents took me to, but my memory of being there is hazy... so I'm sure this Mariah concert will feel like my first time there tbh! 2019 26/02 - Troye Sivan - The Bloom Tour - Birmingham - O2 Academy 09/04 - Shawn Mendes - The Shawn Mendes Tour - Birmingham - Arena Birmingham 25/05 - Rita Ora - Phoenix World Tour - Birmingham - Arena Birmingham 26/05 - Mariah Carey - Caution World Tour - London - Royal Albert Hall 27/05 - Spice Girls - Spice World - 2019 Tour - Cardiff - Principality Stadium 03/06 - Spice Girls - Spice World - 2019 Tour - Coventry - Ricoh Stadium 14/06 - Spice Girls - Spice World - 2019 Tour - London - Wembley Stadium 14/09 - Ariana Grande - Sweetener World Tour - Birmingham - Arena Birmingham 08/11 - Little Mix - LM5 The Tour - Birmingham - Resorts World Arena 25th, 26th and 27th May - three concerts in three days! :o I've never done a string of concerts like this before... I've booked the week off work so I have time to recover after  I noticed you're seeing the Spice Girls, if Pink hadn't been touring I would've tried for Spice Girls tickets. Loved them back in the day! Spent a small fortune on Pink tickets though so doubt I will go to any other concerts this year
February 24, 20196 yr I'm just gonna chance it here cos why not 🙊 I'm not hoping for much tbh but if there's anyone here who happens to be in Ireland today and likes Massive Attack and would be open to seeing them (and me) live, I wouldn't mind hearing from you cos I have 2 tickets for tonight's show but the other person is reluctant to come now and I don't want to drag him along. Ok thanks :P (don't be surprised if I'm asking the same question about Dido in a few months)
February 24, 20196 yr Update! :o Bjork; Klein (The Eden Project, Cornwall [Eden Sessions]: 7th July 2018) Small bit of correction-ness here: Klein was the opening act we missed! We got there during Lanark Artefax. ^_^

February 25, 20196 yr Oops of course- thanks will update. You here for any of the nest Eden sessions? :o I mean I don't know - I haven't rly thought about it tbh, do you know who's playing or anything, or is it too soon? I still have the yearly Eden Project pass but I haven't come back yet :kink: (I didn't go to Massive Attack btw, for several reasons rly, first time I have ever missed a concert but looking on Twitter etc, so many people seemed unhappy with the gig :o Apparently there was 'too much' political imagery and the whole thing seemed kinda stale to a lot of people)

March 9, 20196 yr Owl City; Mathew Koma (Heaven, London: 25th Oct 2012) The Hoosiers; The Carnabies (O2 Islington, London: 2nd Dec 2013) Clean Bandit; Years Away (Great Hall, Exeter: 26th Oct 2014) Backbeat Soundsystem/ Imperial Leisure; Joe Biddle (The Hub, Plymouth: 12th Dec 2014) Muse; Marmozets/ Moriarty (Great Hall, Exeter: 20th March 2015) Coldplay; Reef/ Lavana La Havas (Wembley Stadium, London: 16th June 2016) The Hoosiers (2nd time); [No support] (The Watering Hole, Perranporth, Cornwall: 2nd July 2016) Against The Current; As It Is/ Beach Weather (Shepherd's Bush Empire, London: 30th September 2016) Bastille; Rationale (The Eden Project, Cornwall [Eden Sessions]: 15th June 2017) Meadowlark; Martyn Crocker (The Junction, Plymouth: 11th October 2017) PVRIS; COIN, Tyne (O2 Academy, Bristol: 22nd November 2017) Paramore; MewithoutYou (Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff: 11th Jan 2018) Bjork; Klein, Lanark Artefax (The Eden Project, Cornwall [Eden Sessions]: 7th July 2018) Death Cab For Cutie; The Beths (O2 Academy, Bristol: 30th January 2019) The Midnight; Savior Adore (Scala, London: 6th March 2019) Planned: Lights; TBC (Thelka, Bristol: 27th May 2019) The Midnight; TBC (Roundhouse, London: 12th Nov 2019) Actually getting round to talking about this here. The Midnight live was actually one of the best experiences... ever. The saxophonist was insane (like, every time he started playing I was in awe), the vocals were beautiful, Tyler sounds just as good live as in studio, Nikki Flores joined for Jason and a couple of others, the live electronic stuff was really cool, really interested in seeing bands translate electronic stuff into a live setting and they did it so well, live drum triggers, launchpads, keyboards, the works. Savoir Adore were fantastic support and also had a great setup. Also 2 BJSC entries in one concert! Gloria was ridiculously amazing to hear live. Nearly 3 but they didn't play The Years, understand why they didn't because it's a long one as much as I love it and they'd probably have had to sacrifice a song to fit it in. The main ones missing were The Years and Lightyears but other than that they played a perfect set. (here for details) Idk I think out of this incredible list of concerts it's near the top as one of my favourites. So much so that when they said they'd be back in November I went and got tickets for them again the following day- I've never done that before, usually as much as I love the experience I feel like there are so many artists I want to see and when I've seen them once that's a tick off the list- not that I wouldn't like to see them again but the money/ travel for a gig can be tough to do too much of. In this case I just want to see them again already. Got a few clips on my phone (not too many and mostly short ones bc I prefer to be in the moment/ don't like holding a phone up the whole time) but the quality was surprisingly good (on my previous phones the audio would just be garbled) and I still get chills watching some of them back. Also discovered a great band for support and the fact Tyler Lyle does solo stuff ( :o ) because he did a solo song The Midnight had remixed which I wasn't aware of since the remix wasn't on streaming services (found it on Bandcamp and bought it x).
