It didn't credit them individually on Heroes but as part of the 2010 finalists I think it should count. (As this means Wagner gets a #1 too :D)

They were also part of Band Aid 30. Should we also count Do They Know It’s Christmas as their no.1? I don't think so. IMO we should count just this singles where they were credited.

Joe Weller only at #19 even with lack of streaming data? New Dapper Laughs flop.

But his song was only released on sunday - so with 2 days less on sale i would not say his position is too bad :D

Lovely to see this. Hopefully streaming won't affect it too much in retaining a top 40 position especially with ITV rerunning the Sheridan Smith bio series again this week.

Cilla deserves to re-enter the top 40. Her song is a million times better than most of the trash in the top 40 at the moment

Fully agreed. I've downloaded it this week - such a classic song.

I don't find her slotting into the top 40 as make or break a deal now because no matter what she won't receive a play so I won't be as disappointed if she manages to miss it by a few spots. Musically the song isn't to my taste but I do agree it's a nice tribute to somebody who was a massive star so I really hope it'll
Yeah top 40 is largely irrelevant IMO now as you don't get a play no more. Top 25 is now the new "cut-off".
Really? It pretty much was the only reason that artists wanted to break the Top 40, a play that you wouldn't otherwise get to an audience of millions on national radio.
Hmmm I've always considered Top 10 as the biggest hits and Top 40 the elite - it's a definition of proper hit. To me it's more than just the radio show.

It's a good week for Syco in the singles chart, as the previous No.1, Little Mix's Black Magic (33,491 sales) gives way to One Direction's new song, Drag Me Down, which has so far sold 61,882 copies.

Over in the albums chart, it's an incredibly tight race to the top spot as Lianne La Haovas' Blood overtakes (11,835) The Maccabees' Marks To Prove It (11,730) from Monday's sales flash, with only 105 sales between them.

I'm so shocked at Silento. I really thought that was going to be a #01 or at least Top 5!
The battle for album number one is pretty interesting, I think the Maccabees did a live session for Huw Stephens last night which might have helped them regain the lead today but it seems like Linanne La Havas has been catching up during the week and holding up better. It's a seriously impressive outing no matter what
