Should 1D go to #1 it'll be their first since their cover of "One Way or Another" in February 2013. The first week sales for their previous #1 singles:

What Makes You Beautiful: 153,965

One Way Or Another: 112,616

Little Things: 85,308

Will it beat those 3 do we reckon?

Shouldn't we consider Wishing on a star as their 4th no.1?

If we do that then we need to add Heroes as well :P

No we don't, they're not credited on Heroes :P Wishing On a Star is credited officially to The X Factor Finalists 2011 feat. JLS and One Direction, so it counts as a #1 to them while Heroes doesn't.

(I'd rather wipe it from existence tbf, adding another #1 to their tally is the only thing it's good for )

Jessie J and Taylor will probably drop out from the 40, and let Jess Glynne and hopefully Duke Dumont in once Spotify sales are added.
Calvin will finish second! OMG, if it weren't 1D this week... that is surprising, it's doing so good.

1D have sold 9.1k since yesterday, Little Mix have sold 6.8k, not even close :D

Joe Stone making the top 10 is looking very very unlikely already.

Little Mix should be safe for #2 at least when all the streaming data is included. They should hopefully sell more than 50k this week as well.

It didn't credit them individually on Heroes but as part of the 2010 finalists I think it should count. (As this means Wagner gets a #1 too :D)

Impressive for 1D even without streams. Hope Calvin can overtake Little Mix but I love both tracks anyway & I'm sure he will do soon.

No top 10 for Joe Stone  but seeing how bleak it looked on pre-orders right up until last week top 20 is a great achievement still.

Lol at Silento, scraping a chart show play will probably be the best he can hope for now (unless he's dominating on streaming, someone help here). Joe Weller only at #19 even with lack of streaming data? New Dapper Laughs flop.

Doubtful that 1D will do a 5SOS this time. Wouldn't mind Calvin grabbing the #2 and really hope Spotify inclusion means the ol' Duke can get another top 40 smasha

Actually 1D sold around 4.8K, the remainder was streaming 'sales' added from Apple music over the weekend.

Shaggy dropping 6 places from yesterday  After a 13 year gap i am all for Shaggy making a top 40 return, even if its just at number 40 itself.

Regardless, their lead has increased from this time yesterday due to missing sales or not :P

For anyone wondering, “Go” by the Chemical Brothers & Q-Tip falls to #44 on today's update.

At this rate, it will have lost the most weeks (not counting Taylor Swift)

1D probably would be good for ~80k by the end of the week. I'm not surprised it's beating Little Mix - that's been in the chart for four weeks now (and to still hold at #2 is pretty impressive). I've not been following the chart sales for so long but I don't think I like this 'streaming sales' lark although I suppose record companies want a more accurate representation of who's listening to their music.

I take it Andrea Faustini is pretty far out of the top 40 now?
