It's a gamble. I reckon 'Until Tomorrow' could well be one of those songs that does really well through being cute and twee like 'Tomorrow' or 'Stronger Every Minute' or it could stall and go nowhere. Frankly, given how terrible the BBC are at staging and filming the songs I know which of the two I'd be more inclined to predict.

I would probably go with Darline as its something very different for the UK entry and I can see it maybe catching on as the song is quite catchy . I can see it probably being Joe and Jake though if it's a public vote which wouldn't be to bad of a thing as there song is quite decent and they might end up getting the teenage girl/there fit vote .
Joe & Jake are easily my favourites but I'd be almost as happy with Darline. Bianca and Karl were nice enough to listen to but won't be rooting for them on Friday.

I'm in agreement now after a couple more listens, Joe and Jake are the strongest of the "pure pop" songs (ahead of Bianca and Karl) and Darline offer something different in a really good way, with the other 2 being no good at all so I just forget about them.

Just realised Bianca is the same Bianca I sent to BJSC a while ago!

Poor Bianca destined to do an Electric Nana now!
Poor Bianca destined to do an Electric Nana now!

But Spain had a Barei. We don't.

Only the Joe & Jake or Darline tracks are good, imo. The others are average or boring. Darline might be the best hope for the UK to do well - Joe & Jake are a little forgettable in comparison.
Ooo, hope Bianca wins! She was a backing singer for Leona for about a year or so, lovely woman. "Shine a Little Light" was originally written for Christmas, With Love back in 2013, but didn't make the album. Guess Bianca sang close to the demo as I can definitely hear a lot of Leona in the song. Hopefully Leona's demo will leak one day.

I keep swapping back and forth as to what I'd like which is nice as means got a decent choice.

I like Joe and Jake think its quite 1D/Vamps and prob do well and was my initial fave, Bianca is ok if the chorus was stronger more power it could be quite a stormer as could Karl they both feel similar to me good but not quite got the oomph but with staging and strong vocal could both turn out quite impressive and possibly with a bit of song tweeking

Darline I'm in two minds one is thinking catchy could work in favour other is god no cant possibly send this... totally can not get on board with Dul whatever it is and Matthew is like a Kavana reject from late 90's but he seems to have a lot on twitter support and articles just hope it doesnt gather pace as its dull.

Bianca's song would be so much better without the cod-reggae beat, I really hate when that's used in pop songs.

Darline has grown on me most and I now like it at least as much as the Joe and Jake song. Miracle is also growing but needs a production revamp.

Dulcima is quite catchy, but I hope the female singer doesn't sound awful live, and either way it has bottom three written all over it.

I really will lose all hope if we send Matthew James.

Who do you think you are Harry? Emma Willis?
Even Mans and Katrina would be better panellists as at least they are something different, even get Christer if they need to!

They've listened to you!! Katrina is going to be another panelist along with staging director Jay Revell (apparently he's worked with the likes of Ellie Goulding & Ella Eyre).

And this means no Barrowman :cheer:

That's a relief then, decent panel with all good reasons to be there!

OK, so I've (sort of) heard all six now, so here is the official Suedehead ranking

1 Joe and Jake - this is actually rather good. Both of them were good on The Voice, so it's nice to see them given this chance.

2 Dulcima - not too keen on some of the female vocals but, overall, a decent enough effort

3 Karl William Lund - fairly pleasant, but perhaps a little forgettable

4 Matthew James - I suspect there will be better songs of its type in the main event

5 Darline - not really my cup of tea

6 Bianca - awful. The only one I had to stop part way through, hence the "sort of" comment above.

01. Dulcima - When You Go >> I actually quite like this! It's catchy and uplifting. Mid-table is about as best as we could expect though, but hey, that's still a result in my eyes. 07.0 <<

02. Joe & Jake - You're Not Alone >> It's good. Very The Wanted-esque. I can't help but feel it falls flat on the "anthemic" chorus side of it all, which it tries it's best to be. 06.5 <<

03. Darline - Until Tomorrow >> This is lovely. I can see it finishing about 13th-16th in the final. My only worry is that as lovely as it is, it's quite bland and weak. 06.0 <<

04. Karl William Lund - Miracle >> I like it, but I feel the chorus is over before it's properly begun? I can't see this doing too much, but I can see this winning the selection for some reason. 06.0 <<

05. Bianca - Shine A Little Light >> It's nice. I can see why it's a Leona reject though. Blehhhh. 05.0 <<

06. Matthew James - A Better Man >> Boring. Very 2002. Should have stayed there. 03.5 <<

I can't help but feel that as nice as all these songs are, it really shows up how poor/bland/uninteresting the UK music scene is. If 'Children Of the Universe' struggled, I can't see these really doing anything major to restore the UK's faith in the contest. :(

Someone else with me on Dulcima :D It is the most interesting of the six entries although the reactions to it suggest it might not do very well at all.

In fact, that is mostly how I feel about the rest of them Jonjo also, it's not a very interesting lot. It doesn't show off our music scene in a good light, as ever, I think in general our music scene is weaker than normal lately and this is just on the bland side of THAT.

In a minority here but none of them are in the same league as Children Of The Universe, and I preferred Electro Velvet to any of them. The one that is most likely to get Europoints would be Bianca, the best musically is Darline, the one the most fun Joe & Jake.

The voting public tend to go for "instant appeal" so wouldn't be shocked to see Joe & Jake get it.
