Great sales for Adele. Does anyone follow US charts? If you think what is happening in the UK is crazy, wait until you see the US numbers haha!

Glad I dont ever have to hear Hello ever again. I choose my own listening and avoid radio and music television.
In terms of sales, the #1 singles in 2009 sold pretty similarly to the ones in 2015, after the addition of streaming. From June-October 2009, the average #1 single sold 71,593 copies, whilst in 2015, the average #1 in the same period sold 73,797 units (streaming makes up 18,290 of those units), so the singles market is pretty much unchanged in terms of 'units', even if sales were 'huge' back then.

Thank you for your figures, and that's what I thought, figures for number 1s have been a tad bigger in 2015 than they were in 2009. :)

Adele appears to be on the road to 300,000 in opening week. What fantastic figures, i remember Kylie Minogue reaching those numbers on opening week with Cant Get You Out Of My Head which was huge at the time. Imagine how huge the sales would be nowadays with streaming etc.

Adele seems to be unstoppable, amazing sales all round, need dynamite to shift it from the top, second week will be interesting to see how much it will drop in sales, hopefully she be doing six figures for a few weeks yet.

On a further note, no fluffy little white birds today :(

What all this "coming for weaves" all about? And when/where did it start?

I don't know why this made me chuckle but I did. Thanks for that.

Haha. I'm still none the wiser though!!!

It's a figure of speech depicting domination over somebody else.

Used in a sentence:

'Adele has nearly overtaken Britney on the chart, she's about to snatch her weave'.

Granted, Britney may not even wear a weave and she's occasionally bald, but it's just a figure of speech that has become a popular saying in pop culture.

no weaves left unsnatched by the almighty godele~ :cheeseblock:

Spiidey! Not seen you here for years!

Goodness knows. I can only suggest our resident beaver of the seet Michael is to blame

at this point she's no longer snatching wigs, she's literally cutting their heads off

The bitch

At this point #2 will be the new #1 until 2016 with her nesting at the top of the charts

Even our nanny is playing the song lmao

Adele on 244,666 - Martin, Liam or Joseph will come with a full update I'm sure
