Surprised that 5SOS have #1 album on lock this era when they did better singles-wise the first time round. (I know they were up against Sheeran with their debut I'm just saying I'm surprised this one will be a #1 not that their debut was a #2).

Judging by the daily stream figures on Spotify, Hello has already racked up nearly 1.9 million streams in the UK, so the figure that Mint Royale stated that had been included is at least 1.1 million short. Add in whatever is missing from Apple Music and the total sales so far must be around 15k more at least. Fantastic numbers.

According to Bray's calculations, there are ~8.2k streaming "sales" in this total, which is 820k streams, so it's clear there's a load of streams missing. This is also evident through Taylor being up to #27

Oops, forgot to post saying so! :heehee:

5SOS on 35k already, incredible! :o So glad they're looking at an EASY #1 album with this! Great sales for Adele and Justin of course but that goes without saying at this stage.

S'okay!

Yeah, I'm really surprised at 5SOS' sales too. Given the single release this time round haven't really captured audience's interests, I was expecting about 30k for the whole week, so being on track for 45k is really good and, I don't think, a bad drop from the 67k of their debut's opening sales.

Fantastic sales for Adele, really cannot wait for the final figure. Not to forget Justin who will have big sales too.

By the looks of things there is streaming data missing, probably from Apple and Spotify, as the update did not state.
Home, Drag Me Down and Perfect charting, maybe Infinity too B-)
Looks like Adele's "Hello" will equal Mark Ronson's "Uptown Funk" record for most weeks at #1

How do you know?

I can see it being at #1 for that amount of time (30 Oct-17 Dec) until the X Factor winner's song is released on 13 Dec

Random..., it could easily go back to #1 after x factor winner, or more likely is she'll knock herself off.

People could start buying it again on 18 December to stop X Factor getting Xmas #1 like in 2009

That will be more than boring.

There's a bunch of a new Ed Sheeran tracks coming in November on a re-issue of X, wonder if one of those will challenge Adele to number one

Only if he were to release one as a single, but I wouldn't have thought so - it seems to be similar to Sam Smith's re-release: adding songs that don't already belong to an Ed Sheeran album with a couple of new songs on to make the new collection worthwhile to fans already owning the original album.

As for Adele's album, I expect that to stay at number one to Jan, her first real challenge will come from Bowie's new album out in early Jan
