Mark Ronson starting to get worried? :P

I assume you aren't being entirely serous here. You have 'Uptown Funk' on 1.674m so far this year., I can't see Adele selling that amount by year end.

Not sure how many weeks there are left until the end of the year but let's say 9. That's an average of 186k every week. No chance!

*_* stratospheric sales for godele considering the state of the overall market~
Justin's sales are great! Probably debut with similar numbers to WDYM which is amazing considering the promotion and hype that had!
It's not impossible for him to just about make 100k what with missing streams but I can see him falling a bit short. Will probably outsell What Do You Mean's first week though :o
Coming for my example of it being like Leona vs Take That chart battle in 2007!!
Anyone who watch the Top Of The Pops repeat last week would have seen the lead singer from Showaddywaddy having his wig literally snatched off by one of his own band.
How is Bryan Adams selling 20k albums this week? Explanation is needed.

People have bought or downloaded them maybe? ;)

Good to see Bryan Adams getting decent enough opening sales, i enjoyed his performance on Strictly. Higher end of the album chart in for a good shake up this week with all the new entries, all the top 5 will clear 11k or hopefully 12k at the least.

I'm so happy that Adele is leaving him trailing far far behind, though! :)

Adele's rate of increase has barely dropped at all. (I'm keeping a graph. It's almost a straight line from Saturday's figures to Wednesday's!)

Nine sales weeks left, so with what Ronson is likely to sell in the remainder of the year, maybe 200k/wk :P

Realistically we could be talking about Adele POSSIBLY entering the top-10 of the year, and that would be the case if she performs "Hello" on X-Factor and not the other song.

Ignoring X Factor singles/charity singles/campaigns, Adele should get the third highest weekly sale of the 21st century, just behind, er, Bob the Builder (360k) and Shaggy (345k). Kylie (307k) and Cheryl (293k) complete the Top 5. In terms of first week sales, Adele's in second place after Shaggy.

This is the list of singles to sell over 300k in a week:

01 1108269 Will Young – Anything is Possible/Evergreen [09 March 2002]

02 850535 Gareth Gates – Unchained Melody [06 April 2002]

03 742180 Shayne Ward – That's My Goal [31 December 2005]

04 576046 Alexandra Burke – Hallelujah [27 December 2008]

05 571992 Leona Lewis – A Moment Like This [30 December 2006]

06 555622 Military Wives & Gareth Malone – Wherever You Are [31 December 2011]

07 549839 Hear'Say – Pure and Simple [24 March 2001]

08 502672 Rage Against the Machine – Killing in the Name [26 December 2009]

09 489560 James Arthur – Impossible [22 December 2012]

10 453426 Helping Haiti – Everybody Hurts [20 February 2010]

11 450838 Joe McElderry – The Climb [27 December 2009]

12 439007 Matt Cardle – When We Collide [25 December 2010]

13 377074 Will Young – Anything is Possible/Evergreen [16 March 2002]

14 359639 Bob the Builder – Can We Fix It? [30 December 2000]

15 345498 Shaggy – It Wasn't Me [10 March 2001]

16 313244 X Factor Finalists 2008 – Hero [08 November 2008]

17 312928 Band Aid 30 - Do They Know It's Christmas? (2014) [29 November 2014]

18 311887 Alexandra Burke – Hallelujah [03 January 2009]

19 306648 Kylie Minogue – Can't Get You Out of My Head [29 September 2001]

Given how stable it is in streaming/sales, I wouldn't be surprised if she does another 200k+ next week & 150k+ the week after. I think she's on lock for a top 10 placing with "Hello". When the album's released as well, it should boost the song more. Perhaps she'll be able to break the record for most weeks selling 100k+?
