Why is it "ouch"? It has no airplay yet and the fanbase have all bought it already. It'll stabilise at some point during the week I imagine.

Ariana is really underperforming with 'Focus'. To be fair, it definitely isn't the stellar comeback she needed to make this era as big as last.

 

Luckily I think she will stay at #5 for a while because even though there is only 0.05 between her and #6, it will actually be quite a big gap due to Adele making everything look tiny. I think it will just manage to scrape the top 10 overall, but I honestly thought she would be coming for #3 easily.

Just think that without Adele, Ariana would've hit #1 on iTunes for several hours - I think that's pretty incredible as you don't see Demi or Selena doing that (I hate to bring them into it but they all have similar fanbases from being former child stars). The last time Ariana had an OA/OS release here was sort of 'Break Free' in terms of that being just put on iTunes randomly (albeit a few weeks after premiere) and that only peaked at around #6/#7 on iTunes so I think 'Focus' is doing a pretty fab job so far!
