:snif: E=MC² singles are now out of the running, with 'Touch My Body' bowing out in joint 21st place. This is Mariah's 18th & most recent US #1 (yes, it really has been nearly 8 years since she last topped the chart). Sadly it was also her last visit into the UK Top 10, where 'Touch My Body' peaked at #5. The song was noted as being "playful" by many critics, with its light pop melody & hook being complimented, however the song was also criticised for not properly representing the Mariah's vocal prowess. The humorous video features a cameo appearance from Jack McBrayer, most well known for portraying Kenneth in the TV sitcom 30 Rock.

'I'll Be There' is a cover of the Jackson 5 classic, and indeed Mariah's version could be considered as a classic as well. She performed it during her MTV Unplugged session in March 1992 (aired the following month), as a duet with her backing singer Trey Lorenz. The rendition proved so popular that Columbia Records received many requests for it to become a single, which had not been planned. It subsequently became a massive success in the US, where it became her 6th #1 hit. The single can also be credited as being her breakthrough hit in many markets; it reached #2 in the UK, which made it her biggest success at that point (her previous biggest hit being 'Vision of Love', #9). As of 2014 it is her 4th best selling single. 'I'll Be There' was the start of what would be a run of 12 consecutive Top 10 singles in the UK, which would come to an end with 1997's 'Butterfly' which only made it to #22.
