I saw an advert for NOW 92 on Friday morning on ITV when Good Morning Britain was on.

That is the equivalent of doing 2X Platinum here (600,000) in the same stretch of time. She's gonna break records everywhere! I can't wait to know what her world total is going to be for the week!

For any week album sales by my calculation. Already has the biggest weekly sale for a female in the bag. Poor subo.

FYI already the 3rd biggest seller of 2015 and inside the top 100 of the decade after 3 days sales.

That's crazy, no way does she deserve to sell that amount. There were only 4 or 5 really good songs on her last album. It's just complete hype. There are other artists who are much better that don't sell anywhere near that amount.

That is completely subjective. She obviously does deserve to sell that amount as she is and people are parting with their hard earned money for her music, something that is almost an old fashioned thing these days for people to actually pay for music.

 

The album is fantastic, When we were young through to and including River Lea is probably the best 4 songs in a row I've ever heard on an album.

Hype sells though, with the internet it's happening even more. Sam Smith's Bond song being such a good example of hype-sales. And while I generally agree there are more deserving artists than Adele, I can think of much worse recent artists that could have been dominating the charts. It may not be a masterpiece, but at least her album is solid, I can't see it offending anyone's ears.

You cant say that though. If she had only 3 days sales for the first week it would probably be even higher sales, as people thinking I'll get it later in the week *might* be more inclined to get it in those first 3 days. Isn't that basically what happened with Oasis, the sales tailed off massively after those first 3 days, it was actually a clever tactic to shift huge numbers of the album.
