Kylie has promo coming.....vinyl release on the 27th....radio will support her.....Adele watch out.

The singles chart is going to be awashed with Adele tracks, can we just call the chart, The Adele Chart for one week only, next week it be flooded with Coldplay tracks

Love to see how much she will do in total for the album, she will crack 3 million in just 6 months at that rate  That's the Xmas #1 sorted for this year in the album chart. :D

I'm sure Now will still outsell her :kink:

No it won't. NOW 92 may just about manage this for the whole week

I wouldn't over estimate things Martin. Coldplay won't do that well, they will get their first number 2 album for sure, and I don't expect any album tracks to chart.

As for Adele, I would expect her to be number 1 til Christmas, but as proven by biebs in the singles, anything can happen.

Joe was joking

Also, a few Adele tracks will make the top 40 I'm sure, but without streaming they're not going to do amaizngly.

And I can see Coldplay withholding their album too, as they did with the last one.

This might be the second or third instance when an artist album outsells a regular NOW album in the combined album chart

She will crack 3 million in just 10 days at "that rate"

*over literal face* :P

They should postpone their album release to January

@MintRoyale: Adele also has 8 singles in the top 40 - 17 in the top 100. *does an even bigger cackle*

(Without streaming)

It won't surprise me if she does indeed hold #1 for a while, but surely more people buying it first week/early will prevent that from likely to happen?
NOW Summer Party (a NOW spin-off) managed four weeks at the top of the combined album chart and NOW 92 (a regular NOW album) looks like it won't top the combined album chart at all

Well I wouldn't hold my breath for a Now 93. It'll probably be discontinued after this one.

They'll never discontinue the NOW series no matter what

Interesting what people are saying about Coldplay potentially withdrawing their release. I don't think they will.

Anyway, 25 will be #1 until Bowie possibly takes over on the 15th, and then Purpose will be #1 (see Take That's Progress/Rihanna's Loud scenario for what I think will be very similar to this situation).

Massive sales for Adele - just goes to show albums can still sell even in current market and maybe the poor sales of last few years are related to lack of interesting releases rather than downturn in the general market.

He was joking (I think). Stop taking everything so seriously.
