Glitter In The Air | Funhouse swajwKXExwk Average: 6.524 Highest Rates: 10: (Alex, Regina, Viper, Jark, Riser), 9/9.5: (Jay, American Oxygen, Troublepink, n4yr), 8: (Acidburn, T Boy, SeanGrey) Lowest Rates: 0: (Fgiboy2511), 2: (Atonement) At #28 and know we are starting to get to the good stuff Glitter In The Air, released in January 2010 as the 7th and final single from her 5th album Funhouse. A beautiful soft piano ballad, that was released in the USA only, thanks to that iconic performance at the 2010 52nd Grammy Awards, which received universal praise and was deemed the highlight of the evening, she managed to keep her pitch while spinning above the ground wet and upside down. This is one of her most heart rendering vocals of her career and shows that a simple piano melody can work just as well as something with a lot of production. Originally not planned as a single at all, just a one off performance, but due to all the praise, the record company impacted the song to radio just minutes after the performance and with sales of over 114,000 copies it entered the charts at #18, making this her most successful album era over there, with 5 singles charting and 4 of which making the top 20. November 22, 20159 yr Author The next ones coming up are a single from "The Truth About Love", a single from "Can't Take Me Home" and 1 from "I'm Not Dead Yet". Any guesses.
November 23, 20159 yr 'Walk Of Shame' will surely be the next to go from The Truth About Love, I'd say. Surprised it's done better than 'True Love'. 'Today's The Day', 'Bridge Of Light', and 'Glitter In The Air' are WAY too low :( But otherwise these results are going well so far so I won't complain!

Walk Of Shame | The Truth About Love _75vhlVylb4 Average: 6.527 Highest Rates: 10 (Mr Pmt), 9: (Ezra's Whore, Ultra Christmas, Liam), 8.5/8: (HonkyBonkXMAS, T Boy, Lindsey, Troublepink, n4yr, Riser) Lowest Rates: 0 (Fgiboy2511), 3: (gavindeejay) At #27 and correctly predicted by Riser is Walk Of Shame, released in September 2013 as the 5th and final single from her 6th album The Truth About Love in Australia only. Now this is a surprise that it's got this high here, especially beating some of her more well known songs. If this was based on points only, this would have been placed at #30, but due to it getting less rates than some of the others, it managed a better average. Even managing to beat "TL", but due to that getting a -1 towards the end, this shot up and settled for this. This song is a lot of fun, that includes Pink's usual charm and is definitely a highlight on the album itself with it's catchy beat. Upon release it wasn't as successful as the album's previous singles which all reached the top 10 there, it reached #60 on the ARIA charts becoming her 31st single to chart there, and given the fact that the album went 8x Platinum, I don't think anyone will lose any sleep over it.

American Oxygem, Aled, Viper, n4yr, MIKEMYER) Lowest Rates: 3/3.5: (Fgiboy2511, Noahspike), 4: (Jark) At #26 we have Pink's debut single There You Go, released in February 2000 and taken from her debut album Can't Take Me Home, which now only leaves one single left from that era in the running. Everybody had to start somewhere and this is where Pink started, as an R&B diva and if you said to people now that Pink did that kind of music, nobody would believe you, buy yes it's true, but only for her debut album though, she would totally turn herself around 2 years later and that was when her career really started. At the time this song sounded alright, because every R&B sounded like that back then, but by today's standards, it's kinda generic and the beat doesn't go anywhere. The music video was interesting though and her short bright pink hair really made her stand out from the crowd and even back then she had a great style. It did well enough introducing her to the world as it became successful by hitting top 10 peaks in both the UK and USA, In Australia it fared even better by reaching #2 and elsewhere again it hit top 10 in New Zealand and Netherlands, top 20 in Ireland, then finally top 40 peaks in Belgium, Sweden, Austria and Switzerland.

The song is an open statement to the then president George W Bush, that criticize's several areas of his administration and terms in office. I guess I don't need to tell you the effect that this song had on people, but in my opinion this definitely stands as one of her most interesting songs and something that makes you listen to what she has to say over an almost acoustic beat, lyrically it's honest and a beautifully crafted melody, and okay it may not be to everybody's taste, but it will always be something that's remembered for somebody's opinion and views on the state of politics back then. Upon release it wasn't given a USA release, due to radio stations banning it, but elsewhere it did become a success by topping the charts in Austria and Belgium, top 5 in Australia, Swiss and Germany, top 20 in New Zealand and Sweden. In the UK it was released as a double a-side with another album track "Leave Me Alone (I'm Lonely)", where it reached the top 40.
November 24, 20159 yr Surprised at glitter and DMP being so low 😮 But not really surprised by the others. Good chart so far 👍

This was her comeback single after the underwhelming performance of her 3rd album "Try This", and while this pretty much did the trick chartwise and made her presence known again, but the song itself is kinda a mess, it tries to sound hard but comes off sounding like noise, okay back then it sounded decent, but she's done so much better stuff since, and even worse in the video we have Pink mocking bimbos, while at the same time she's dressing like one, I know she's making fun of them, but she's still dressing like that. Thankfully further singles from the album were much better and cemented her status as an icon. Upon release the song put her back into the USA charts peaking at #13, becoming her biggest hit in 4 years and elsewhere did even better by reaching top 10 in Australia, UK and Ireland and top 20 peaks in Austria, Belgium, Germany, New Zealand, Swiss, Finland and Norway. Chapman, Viper) Lowest Rates: -1/0: (Iz, Regina, Dobbo), 2: (Mr Pmt) At #23 is the wonderful and glamourous Lady Marmalade, released in March 2001 and taken from the movie soundtrack of Moulin Rouge and featuring Mya, Lil' Kim and Christina Aguilera, along with production by Missy Elliot. Originally the song was sung by Labelle in 1974 and has been covered many times by artists such as All Saints, Sabrina and many others. But this has to be the most well known cover of it, with Missy Elliot keeping the production tight and impressive vocals from everyone involved. This came at a time when Pink just finished her first era and was still figuring out what she wanted to do next, and I must say this definitely boosted her profile at the time, where even bigger things would be waiting around the corner for her. Of course the song was a smash hit everywhere, it became the 2nd time it topped the charts in both the UK and USA, Labelle did it in the USA, while All Saints did it in 1998 in the UK, as well as topping the charts in 11 other countries, making this an epic example of early 00's pop. November 24, 20159 yr I declare the rate null and void. :nono: The last two songs are way too low, particularly Lady Marmalade! (By the way Acidburn you have Dobbo down as a -1/0 and a 2 in Lady Marmalade)

November 24, 20159 yr Also I think the whole purpose of the video is going over your head. Literally though. I cannot believe a P!nk fan has just made that statement of her dressing like a bimbo etc. WTF.
