THe Corrs were on Graham Norton show last night so that's some tv publicity for them

Nice to see Graham doing his bit for Ireland :)

In all honesty I'm not sure The Vamps would sell much more at any other time of the year :P Wake Up the single didn't do particularly well which was a shame, and they're only just following it up now. Best I can hope for is a top 5 album I guess.

The album obviously wouldn't sell more if it had been released earlier, but it would've charted higher than it will do.

Coldplay will struggle to reach 100 k sales especially since the lead single from the album didn't perform well... So I think Adele will stay put at number 1 in the albums through January...
Lol there is absolutely no way a new Coldplay album in December would fall short of 100k. Their new single has done about as well as 'Magic' did (if not arguably slightly better considering it's been shoved down by streaming, its sales chart run has been 8-15-17 compared to 10-18-23 for 'Magic') and that led a non-Q4 release to sales comfortably above 150k. The iTunes pre-order for 'A Head Full Of Dreams', for what it's worth, has also barely left the top 10 since it was put up. I'd be surprised if it had a lower opening than 'Ghost Stories', 200k+ is quite possible. But I'm still not sure if it'll sell enough to beat Adele's third week sales which should also still be 200k+, and maybe significantly higher than that if she keeps up 60k sales per day.
Adeles first figure this week will be huge after the weekend but will gradually slow to around 45-50k per day during the week but as it gets closer to Xmas it will sell higher each day too if you get what I'm trying to say (very badly)!
I think people are really over estimating Coldplay. The sales climate has continued to decline and Adele is the only act to break 100k this year I believe. If they do 130k they will be doing really well in my opinion.

Oo great sales for Adele (expected of course). Second week of 300-350k it seems. Can see her selling around that again next week with the higher sales as we get closer to Christmas.

I think Coldplay will do 180-220k and be unable to topple Adele. Their lead single has done really well. It even managed to knock off "Hello" from #1 in airplay for a little while.

I really can't predict how Coldplay are going to do, I would tend to agree that people are over-estimating them due to the current sales climate, but then I completely under-estimated Adele so who knows

I agree Coldplay will do roughly 200k. 'magic' basically only got support from r1. The new one is on heart, capital, kiss, radio 1 and radio 2 and playing it to death. It's clearly a bigger single than magic when you take into account streaming.

I think it's the opposite and people underestimating Coldplay. They're always big album sellers. Saying that, I think their pot potential 200k will be just short of Adele's third week sales and they'll have to settle for some of the biggest #2 sales.

The Coldplay album will deliver a solid figure however there seems to be little hype around this release so maybe it won't match normal standards? Also anyone else think Justin could sneak a week in before the end of the year due to the amount of gift buying that occur for the album added to the fact Adele has sold SO many in her opening week?

People seem to be coming out of that sold work that never buy music to buy Adele. I went to HMV today and literally every customer seemed to have 25 in their hands. They probably had to hire someone at every HMV with the sole role of restocking 25.

The Corrs are also on the Royal Variety Performance as well in the coming weeks which will bolster their lot quite a bit.

Just been streaming The Corrs new album...... I'm actually pretty impressed! Really like it!! :D

I think adeles sales will reduce this week obv to 300k or so then 250k in week 3 but then she will increase in weeks 4 & 5 (Christmas week)!

Depending on if she is in any shows she could do 450k again on Xmas weeks sales. (I'm sure they'll repeat the Adele special on BBC over Xmas too).

I really must buy the Corrs album this week, i have heard a few snippets and im liking it, i hope they can make the top 10. Adeles sales will be interesting this week but either she she will easily pass a million sales this week. I never thought Justin Bieber would be so huge again, my daughter who is 14 was a big fan and then went completely off him u is a full on fan again, this era will likely end up his most successful to date.

My hopes/interests for this week are all in the album chart, the Corrs to enter top 10, Enya to stay top 10, Kylie potentially climb and Take That not to completely plummet.
