November 30, 201510 yr The album is doing fine all things considered. The single has got comparatively less support compared to usual and they were never going to fare well with OA/OS. They need to release Volcano soon as that is a surefire hit IMO.
November 30, 201510 yr Take That will drop even further as there is next to no copies of the new version available due to the glitch in the DVD. Wonderful to see The Corrs start the week off in the top 10, that said, i fear they will miss out by the end of the week. Olly Murs number 9 with Kiss Me, it would be wonderful if this can officially achieve top 10 status this week. Edited November 30, 201510 yr by pippa
November 30, 201510 yr wow so '25' still sold more on day 9 than anyone else has managed in a 7 day period in 2015~ :cheeseblock:
November 30, 201510 yr Shame for The Vamps, but they were probably #4 before today's update. I doubt they'll have been higher than that because the top three sales will be huge, and there'll be quite a big gap in between Justin at #3 and Little Mix at #4, I think. As for the singles chart, good on Justin. Three months ago (What Do You Mean? premiered 28 August and then obviously charted in the first week of September) he had zero #1s; now he's got three, with two of them receiving an on air on sale release, having amazing longevity and the other not even a fully promoted single yet. His success is nothing short of outstanding; his record is doing so, so well too, and will have a great chart life. Thanks for the sales breakdown of Adele's 25, Robbie. Quite a large bulk of this week's total so far came from yesterday's 100k+ (which will have been from Saturday, so that's understandable), but if she keeps selling 60k for the next four days (240k) that puts 25 on 465k for this week. LMAO.
November 30, 201510 yr These adele sales are crazy, I honestly thought 2nd week sales would be 200k total but 25 is selling bucket loads because it's a stunning album.
November 30, 201510 yr Watch out Kylie Christmas is coming...... promo heavy in December...... TFI, Royal Variety, John Bishop Xmas Show, Graham Norton all confirmed, concert.... maybe Strictly, Alan Carr? Magic FM Radio special.... already sold around 23k in UK, would love it to go GOLD
November 30, 201510 yr 1D 3rd week vs Little Mix 4th week and LM are above them and back inside the top 5! Amazing.
November 30, 201510 yr The Take That drop is because of the recall of the original run of copies due to the DVD glitch. Universal are sending out new copies now so I imagine that'll boost it back up in the coming weeks. I doubt The Vamps are 'over' per se. If that was the case so too would 5SOS with the recent drop from #1 their album had. I shall probably get 'Wake Up' once I'm near HMV this week as I like their most recent singles. Excellent to see 'Kiss Me' heading to the top 10 at last
November 30, 201510 yr How long did it take Progress by Take That to reach 1 million? I'd have guessed that made it within a month but it's not mentioned in the article.
November 30, 201510 yr I think Take That did a million in a month with 'Progress' and 'The Circus' as well when both those albums came out. I think what might have helped the latter album along was its heavy discounting in Woolworths and Zavvi, both of which were going into administration at the time of its release. I got a copy from our Woolworths the day before it closed for good, in fact.
November 30, 201510 yr OMG Little Mix are SLAYING and they're not even promoting in the UK at the moment (they're in Japan) and LMLY dropped from the Radio 1 playlist! Amazing! Imagine how well they will do with the Royal Variety, Live Lounge and TOTP promo still to come! Keep streaming mixers! :yahoo:

November 30, 201510 yr 20 November (including pre-release purchases): 315,795 21 November: 145,571 22 November: 82,127 23 November: 71,815 24 November: 66,939 25 November: 56,747 26 November: 61,313 27 November: 62,814 28 November: 103,997 29 November: 58,371 Those would be impressive (for another artist) for weekly sales never mind daily sales!

November 30, 201510 yr Obviously with all the Adele fever, I didn't quite realise how well Little Mix were doing with this album. The first three weeks of sales has them sat at 128,296 sales already and if they are rising again this week I would expect another 40k added on to that total. Very impressive seeing as 'Salute' is just short of 300,000 so this is easily going to sell more than half of Salute's overall total in just 4 weeks. Their popularity has not just held up but actually grown greatly which has never happened for an X Factor winner by their third era.
November 30, 201510 yr Me and Joe were talking about that earlier and how fascinated we were by it all. It's great for the girls and we both agreed that this is like their 'Tangled Up' to next eras, 'Out Of Control'... hopefully!
November 30, 201510 yr Shame the album's not half as good as Tangled Up  (I do like it though :heehee:) Seriously though, Get Weird is holding up incredibly well, way better than I expected!
