'25' spiking back up to 100k sales on Saturday alone then dropping back to below 60k doesn't seem very realistic, I think it's more likely the 'Saturday' total also includes some Friday sales that weren't reported on time (maybe digital sales). Or maybe there were just far more people out shopping and casually picking up a copy on Saturday than yesterday I guess. Regardless of the daily distribution of sales, over 200k by Sunday is still fantastic and it's a good thing she beat even the highly questionable figure for days Oasis took to reach 1m to save another argument about whether she broke the record or not

Its probabaly not far wrong as each saturday between now and xmas usually sees huge physical sales with people in hmv that are normally never there.

Nope, it rose into the top 40 to #17 last year on the chart December 7th 2014 and rose into the top 40 to #14 on the chart December 8th 2013. Seems to be on schedule. :P

Its streaming and sales are doing quite well and it's started to get airplay (Heart have played it at least once today). Can see it rising a lot as the week progresses and it might make the top 20 by the end of the week.

Good stuff hate when ther and The Pogues enter in the top 20 already, like a wee 37-12-4 chart run for her to fulfill my OCD!

Maybe more if the figures are to be believed - 400-450k?!
no update?

Read the first post, an update is not guaranteed on a Tuesday :P If we had anything, it would be posted.

Kylie Christmas Standard version 99p on google play today only.

Should grab a few more copies and push her up the charts

Nearly missed this! Pleased I didn't download it last week now - Hopefully this will give her a boost this week

Sorry about the lack of midweeks this week guy - no info has come our way. We'll get some information from Music Week later on tonight and hopefully more detailed sales info along the way :)

Quite an exciting chart could be this week, with hopefully Craig David (of all people!) and Robin Schulz entering the top-40, and also Years & Years and 99 Souls entering the top-25.

Craig David has slowed down quite a bit, he's at 21 in iTunes now and I think he will fall just short of the official top-40, as he's doing nothing on streaming.

Kylie is starting to sleigh in sales......

and now Stock Aitken and Waterman remix a Chris Martin song....... doesn't get much better

Ellie Goulding doing nicely on album chart this week... easily another 12-15k for her.

I wouldn't personally say that hitting the 75k mark by week 4 of release is her doing nicely, given that her previous album is 3x Platinum. Her underperformance has been brutal.

She's staying stagnant though. She should continue to sell, even at a low rate, and will probably do around 150k by Christmas. It is still a huge underperformance though given Little Mix are #4 this week with an album that was released in the same week.

Yeah the fact that little mix have sold twice as many copies so far still shocks me I thought they would gave been much more even with Ellie having the slight edge

Perhaps Little Mix and Ellie are not aiming for the same market and so sales are not going to be comparable.
Their market is very similar though, they are both big names in pop and are aiming for the same target audience.

I have a feeling he'll miss out too sadly. Same sort of iTunes performance as the recent Stylo G single.

Fingers crossed he proves me wrong though.

Craig David was #32 in Monday's update so probably even lower today, his chances of staying top 40 are very small indeed :(

I haven't heard the track in full yet, but it doesn't matter if I like it or not, it is very frustrating to see, that new entries tend to appear higher in the first midweeks and then drop out completely of the top 40 by Friday. I want more new entries in the top 40.

(And bloody Radio 1 you better play the new entries in full between #40-26  )

Bought my copy of The Corrs 'White Light' yesterday.... Really hope it stays top 10 :cheer:
