This is now the highest EOY position for Carly overall after IRLY showed up earlier at 14 and CMB entered around 21 in 2012. It's a nice slice of electro pop and it's just so catchy.. kind of running out of much meaningful commentary but I'd say bearing in mind this gets universal praise on the forum. I do hugely agree with everyone and I think that it's by far my favourite single of Carly's and it's a huge shame it never did very well officially. I seem to remember quoting how Taylor did in my EOY chart previously and last year 'Blank Space' came in low 90's deeming me a flop Taylor fan :no: but roles are reversed this year as Taylor returns to my EOY top 3, 3 years after 'We Are Never Getting Back Together came in at #3. 'Wildest Dreams' is utterly gorgeous and I just adore the video, all movielike and everything. Glorious Glorious GLORIOUS!!! It even became the first ever in my chart to spend 8 long consecutive weeks at #1, Cee Lo did so in 2010 but that was non consecutively so well done Taylor T-Swiffle for knocking it out of the park with this gem :heart: 'Out Of The Woods' video is premiering tonight so maybe she can keep it up for next years EOY if that song dominates my chart to the extent this and BP and Style have! December 31, 20159 yr 'Shine' and 'King' are brilliant tunes, Y&Y do great production and I think that really improves their songs for me (but his voice is lush too) yay for 'Uptown Funk' doing so well too, major tune :dance: 'Play My Drum' was a great BJSC entry too, didn't make a big impact in my chart but I do like the sax dance.

An gorgeous, beautfiul song with such a strong powerful heartwarming chorus :wub: The track spent 4 weeks atop the UK Charts but went one better and stayed #1 here for an extra taking it to 5 weeks. This is in my top3/5 Ellie track for sure. Quite sad it's not #1 on the EOY like I thought it may be earlier in the year but then any of the top 4 could have had it! December 31, 20159 yr Yassss at Ellie in the top three, I do love Lean On too, though not as much as everyone else. Always look back at that Meg Myers drop from #1 as a *.* moment. Nice to see Play My Drum doing so well and lots of love still here for Madonna too! Didn't realise Wildest Dreams had 8 weeks at #1 for you, it's probably my least favourite 1989 single :drama: I never really understood why that Maroon 5 song flopped, I really never cared for Sugar yet that was somehow an 800k selling smash only a few months before, despite being a limp Katy Perry tribute. This Summer had much more punch and passion.

January 2, 20169 yr Hi Rob Love your #1 here, it just continued to sound amazing for months on end. That drop after the second chorus just sounds so magical every single time, such fantastic dance music. Glad to see Wildest Dreams up so high too, still upsets me that it could never do well in the charts when its such a gorgeous and dreamy track, always been a strong favourite of mine from 1989 but even I underrate it sometimes!
