#16 is false. There are probably many others that have done this and Mariah Carey, BEP and Ashanti (and more?) even had simultaneous #1 and #2 hits.

This is slaying me right now. River Lea for single 3 please

As of last Friday 25 has sold 12 million world wide!. In 4 weeks.

And I thought 12 million in 34 weeks for 21 was amazing.

hello and I miss you are miles ahead of the others for me

I think the record may just be missing out that she also had 2 top 5 albums in the same week (this definitely happened in the UK, may well have happened in the USA as well, I forget).

Couple more interesting facts. (in context with fastest selling album).

25 took just 28 days to outsell Oasis BHN's total to date!(19 years).(source ukmix).

Plus one I researched myself.(calculated from info in Buzzjacks weekly sales lists for 2011.)

21 took just 14 weeks to outsell BHN's total to date.

Can't wait, hope it goes viral (which it likely will)! :cheer:

I must say, I really like that she's a lot more 'present' this era (in terms of promotion and public appearances). It makes her seem more "real" (if that makes any sense?)
She was around quite a bit at the start of 21 too, to be fair (really hoping she'll do Graham Norton again).

^ Yeah, certainly in the US she had a pretty packed promo schedule for the first few weeks of release. It seems she very deliberately laid low for a bit in the UK after The BRITs performance (Graham being an exception), but by that stage she'd done quite a lot anyway.

And I'd love to see her on Graham's show again too. She was absolutely hilarious the last time and the two of them seem to have a great chemistry together, as shown again by that recent special he hosted.

To me she seemed to disappear by about April, she stopped doing proper music videos after single one and it seemed like she'd been hidden away as a recluse from that point until 'Hello'.

(Though I do get her pregnancy and her infant's early years and desperately wanting to keep it all as private as she could took up a big chunk of that)

I think this time round it'll be different as Adele's prepared for the promotion/busy schedule of the album release. Back when 21 blew up Adele was completely overwhelmed and didn't know how to handle it and she sort of became a recluse halfway through the era when momentum for the album was really high. Not to mention her pregnancy too.

I'm hoping this album will be handled like a standard big pop release with at least 4 singles with videos released and all of them put up for streaming. Adele will be touring most of this year though so hopefully she'll find time to record videos for the singles. Not that she has to be in them necessarily.

Swetest Devoion and Million Years are terrible, but the rest of the album being so good makes up for it!

I even prefer it to 21, even if, except for Hello, it doesn't have any big singles on it - 21 even had a spare, Turning Tables!

I don't get how the pregnancy card is even accountable for 21 when she'd already done Skyfall by then and post-album singles weren't as successful as the first three?

she just

rapped nicki's verse on "monster"

edit: oops ty riser for reminding me to put spoiler tags
