That definitely sounds like it was meant more for Niall's album than Harry's. It's pleasant enough, I guess. I'm hoping that this and 'Ever Since New York' are just the two weakest on the album as apart from 'Sign Of The Times', it all sounds fairly MOR and "nice but boring".

Track timings are out!

Interesting to see that Sign of the Times is quite comfortably the longest one.

Harry will be on Radio 1 Breakfast show on Friday playing his favourite tracks from the album! (Hopefully a couple of new ones and not the ones we've heard already )

I still have faith in this album despite only SOTT really doing much for me!

'Carolina' is really good. Quite funky! Nice to hear a different side to the album! It's quite Rolling Stones-y!
I do think people are being a bit optimistic on how well this album will do sadly! :( If ZAYN couldn't even sell 20k with a bigger hit and more time on Pre-Order than I can't see how this would do much more. SOTT has gotten old quite quickly for me.

I think it'll out perform Zayn's album easily. He appeals to a larger demographic than Zayn did. A lot of adults I know irl are surprised at how much they like SOTT, for example. He's definitely got more of an album buying fanbase than Zayn, imo. The Radio 2 sort of demographic.

But like I said elsewhere, maybe he won't after I expected SOTT to do so much stronger upon release  so you'll probs actually be right! Haha.

I do think it will outperform Zayn's album, because like you said Jonjo, he appeals to that Radio 2 listener base also and they're more likely to go and buy albums as opposed to Zayn mainly targeting the younger generation with the type of music he's put out!

OK finished my first listen, there's a couple of tracks on here that aren't really for me (notably Kiwi) but others are great, highlights on first listen are Carolina and Two Ghosts  Sign of the Times definitely feels like the best choice for first single too actually!

My rank after 2 listens:

1. Sign of the Times

2. Two Ghosts

3. Carolina

4. Ever Since New York

5. Meet Me in the Hallway

6. Sweet Creature

7. Only Angel

8. From the Dining Table

9. Woman

10. Kiwi

Sweet Creature sounds better in the context of the album than it does on its own, I must say. Kiwi is the only one I'm not really that keen on right now (potential to grow as I get used to it maybe). Meet Me in the Hallway and Only Angel already growing on a second listen!

Only listened through once but really quite enjoyed it. It's much stronger than Zayn's debut in my opinion despite a lack of a 'wow' moment (Pillow Talk in Zayn's case for me).

Aside from Sign of the Times (which I agree with Joseph was definitely the obvious choice for lead single), I really enjoyed Meet Me in the Hallway and Kiwi the most on first listen (the latter almost reminds me of an Arctic Monkeys track in places) and the rest of the other tracks are all rather lovely. Not so many are jumping out at it me yet but his voice sounds fantastic (he always had my favourite vocals in the group) and I can see it really growing on me in the future too as it is all very cohesive and flows very fluidly. Looking forward to listening to it again

Listened through 4/5 times now. Really enjoying it, there are some great songs. It's not very commercial but it's very enjoyable.

I think part of the reason why I like the album so much is some of the songs are quite relatable to myself, so it's interesting. Guessing everyone wants to know who Kiwi is about?

'Ever Since New York' is so much better in studio form.

I am also really liking this album too. It's not as down beat as I thought it would be, which is a nice surprise. I think 'Kiwi' is my fave non-'Sing Of The Times' song though. Agreed with Josh in that it's quite Arctic Monkeys in places!

The second single from his self-titled debut album will be pushed to US radio soon according to the latest Columbia promo newsletter. No information yet which track will be though.

Along with Sam Smith's announcement, it seems a 'Harry Styles at the BBC' special will also be airing on BBC One in November.

EDIT: Oops just seen the thread on this, sorry!

I'm finally checking out both of Harry's albums for the first time today  'Ever Since New York' and 'From The Dining Table' are my album track highlights  I was surprised that the record contained something so acoustic in the latter from what I remembered about the singles. 'Sign of the Times' remains epic *.*
