March 29, 20169 yr Author I agree that I could see it rising some more, I just think it needs to find the right place in the schedule as, recently, its moved about all over the place. I think a 9pm timeslot on one of the weekdays would be perfect for it.
March 29, 20169 yr Even if it was just the extended highlights, the ratings for the F1 do seem rather poor. Hopefully they pick up for the first live race.
March 29, 20169 yr I think it helps First Dates that it's regularly featured on Gogglebox and gets a good reception on there.
April 3, 20169 yr Another disaster for The Voice last night: 4.54m (22.8%) :o Ant & Dec were well ahead with 5.74m (28.9%) / 6.07m (30.5%) inc. +1
April 4, 20169 yr Just seeing this now, I can't believe Corrie is consistently the most viewed soap, especially when the storylines are as dull as they seem to be getting at the moment! Eastenders would have been my prediction to be the most viewed, a lot more seems to be happening there, but I suppose Corrie have more consistent viewers and is at a peak time on TV.
April 4, 20169 yr It's because Corrie skews old like Countryfile, Antiques Roadshow etc. so has a more reliable and regular audience
April 5, 20169 yr Author Channel 5 had the first screening in the world of the latest episode of Neighbours last night, even airing before Australia for the first time ever. It was the conclusion to a 'Hotel Death Trap' storyline which resulted in the death of one of the characters. Channel 5 placed the episode in a special primetime airing of 10pm and it was seen by 1.05m (6.5%), outrating Channel 4's 'Sex Box' and BBC Two's QI XL and Newsnight. The previous episode aired at 1.45pm [787k (10.1%)] and at 5:30pm [609k (4.4%)].

April 5, 20169 yr I heard something about Scottish ratings not being added to the Line on Duty episode, hence its smaller than expected rise from the overnights? Something like it being on at a different time due to football or something? Still, a solid rating for BBC 2.

April 6, 20169 yr It was actually Panorama not Fake Britain on Monday. Interestingly, Panorama being at least 1m higher at 7:30pm than its regular 8:30pm slot. I guess the Panama Papers being the topic of the show might have given it a boost too.

April 13, 20169 yr Author HighlightsThe Durrells debuts to nearly 8m, making it the biggest drama rating for ITV this year (I think?)Undercover also made its debut, albeit to a lower 6.33m in the big BBC One Sunday night drama slot. This is lower than The Night Manager before it but it had higher competition from the second series of Home Fires which started with 5.34m.Line of Duty climbs an impressive 2m for its second episode. It rated over 5m, making it the highest rated episode of the three series so far.The Voice UK continues its decline to 5.22m for its second series.Bake Off: Creme de la Creme makes a strong start with over 4m.Two special programmes marking the death of Ronnie Corbett aired on BBC One and BBC Two. The Two Ronnies Sketchbook rated 4m whilst The Many Faces of Ronnie Corbett got 2.33m.The first live race shown on Channel 4 got 2.40m.
April 13, 20169 yr Fantastic result for The Durrells! ITV are doing alright for their drama ratings after losing spectacularly to the BBC in Q1. FYI, Maigret got 6.82m, Home Fires got 6.13m and Grandchester got 5.8m with HD added (someone posted figures on DS Forums with the HD and +1 added, so I just took away the +1 figures which are on BARB). Huge success for BBC2 with Line of Duty getting over 5m! Although you don't have to go back as far as I thought for the last time they got a programme over 5m, because Top Gear's 28th June 2015 episode got 6.92m. FYI, the highest BBC 2 rating this side of the millennium is the 9.45m the Back Off 2013 Final received.
