COMMENTARY
For this contest we bring out one of our fave producers of the moment. We've loved Nora for a few years now so it's about time we sent a track of hers, and what better time than now with one of her most instant and outstanding songs to date. 'Trailblazer' is a laidback deep meets future house instrumental track with a lush piano riff. Similar vibe to EDX, who we sent many years ago. The song is released on Enormous Tunes which also gave us former S DNLD entry 'Make Your Move' by Croatia Squad & Lika Morgan.

:wub: this reminds me so much of Ten Walls, makes me miss the times when deep house was the trend of the moment instead of the current wave of bland tropical house.

COMMENTARY
We finish this contest in a respectable 18th place for 'Trailblazer', which gets us our first top 20 hit of the year after 'Sky Is Falling' fell short at 24th last contest. In our quest to get new positions this one didn't quite do it, and in fact this becomes our fourth entry to finish in 18th following Laurentiu Duta 'Shining Heart' (BJSC45), Sandy Rivera 'BANG!' (BJSC71) and Oliver Moldan 'High & Low' (BJSC94). If only we'd have finished one place higher (not that I care all that much, just happy for the top 20).

Our 18 points went to 'Capricorn' by Xan Griffin featuring WOLFE which finished in 23rd for Cowtermont, higher than some predicted and we're happy to see it avoid the bottom ten. A better fate was to be for our 15 pointer, 'Choir 1.0' by Purple Haze which finished in 8th for Dobago. Our 13 points went to 'Ladykiller' by Brunelle featuring Laura White for Ramrynia, which finished in 17th, one position and as it happens one point ahead of our own entry. Our 12 points went to eventual 2nd placer '14U+14Me' by The Presets, giving Alteria an all time best position by a long way. Even if we gave it a full 18 points it still wouldn't have contended for the win, as it finished 26 points behind Ojnoj who won with 'Heart To Break' by Kim Petras. The winning entry, for the second time in a row, ranked 18th with us. Seemingly you need to appeal to S DNLD, but not enough for our points, in order to win these days. Take the hint if you're planning on sending a winner next contest. Other entries in the Top 10 that we pointed were 'The Nature Of Dying' (6th for Goreshit/Jadakissnia), 'Not About You' (7th for Haiku Hands/Daehun) and 'Faller' (9th for EMIR/Tinnmark)

We now look forward to visiting Ojnoj in BJSC 103... or as it turns out, Alteria?

Now to decide my next entry, I've got either:

- trance instrumental

- vocal trance

- deep house track I love and have had as a potential for ages and want to send but don't want to see it inevitably flop (probably not this month though, don't want to send deep house twice in a row, it will happen eventually probs)

- a self recycle if I'm feeling really uninspired (got a few in mind for this oooops)

- crazy drum 'n' bass that will definitely flop

Congrats on the top 20 finish this month! It was a step up in quality compared to last month for sure and sounded really refreshing amongst the final line-up!
