So 'Radio On' is the song that got the exclusive performance. It's not been one that I've had a 'moment' with on the album previously, although there are definitely no bad songs, but this performance has elevated the song quite a bit. It's a really sweet track and translates so well live; I can see this being a great intimate moment on tour. I loved seeing people in the crowd leaning on the stage and looking up, really paying attention to Kylie perform.

#728 on iTunes.

I'm really pleased the album managed a fourth week in the UK Top 10. To see it spend the same amount of weeks there as Aphrodite is really encouraging and suggests Kiss Me Once was a total blip. Should hit 80k next week - FYI, Kiss Me Once sold 77.5k in all of 2014, so for Golden on track to beat that in just its 5th week is fab!

Week-by-week sales for Golden:

01 48,032

04 13,319

06 8,819

10 5,897

Total: 76,067

Compared to Kiss Me Once:

02 29,251

08 12,838

13 6,769

17 4,140

Total: 53,092

Fantastic progress for Golden:  I wonder how long it’ll take for it to pass 100,000? Maybe within the next couple of months?

Weeks before the album came out, I would have been happy to see Golden scrape past a 100k total once the tour was over (given that I had it in my mind it was unlikely it’d do more than 35k in week 1). So I’m extremely pleased that it’s more than likely going to have passed 100k prior to the tour. :D

I can’t really see it being possible to get to the 300k+ needed for Platinum, but it’d be fantastic if the tour & Q4 could propel Golden over 200k. A Q4 re-release a la Steps would be helpful (although given I already own 4 formats, I’d feel a bit crazy to shell out even more money on it :kink: ).

Gosh it has 76k sales why are we mentioning 200-300k ? She isn't going to keep selling huge numbers each week. Let's get to 100K first and see what else she has under her belt to keep the album progressing. With a re issue later in year she will sell again in numbers

Remember album sales are low.

I am actually now wanting her to get a big single hit. I know there is no money in it but it really is capable of being done.

as much as I love Radio On, it's not a single choice for me and she didn't do it justice on Friday live show. Was promo slot wasted, not the type of song for that audience, she should have kept it lively and involved the crowd like she did for SMFF

SmileyKylie, you are the most overly enthusiastic member I've ever come across (not that that's a bad thing), I don't think you can say people are getting ahead of themselves! Besides, everyone is being reasonable with their predictions, if you can even call it that, it's just speculation really.

Lol, I’m sorry I said anything :drama:

Gosh she has a #38 and #52, why are we mentioning big single hits ? She isn't going to keep getting huge hits.

Remember streaming sales are high.

Golden up from 32 to 15 since yesterday on iTunes. Good to see. Hoping she gets over 80k total sales end of this week
Probably unlike everyone else on the forum, the title track Golden is the weakest song on the album.

It is a real disappointment after the album opens with the strong Dancing and Stop Me From Falling.

I've yet to really fall in love with it if I'm honest.

The two skippers for me on this album are 'One Last Kiss' and 'Love', but even they're not really bad per se.

I don't think it will be. The fact the performance on SLFN was dubbed an exclusive suggests to me they just wanted to show a little more of the album.

I think it's out of Golden and Music's Too Sad for the next single.

I think Sincerely yours would be a smart choice as third single

18 on UK Tunes wth plenty of compilation ahead

11 on Amazon downloads

12 on Amazon CD standard

42 on Amazon CD deluxe

Not bad!

Stop me from Falling hanging around also on Tunes and Amazon

Top 15 position appears possible this week.

Fingers crossed - it’s holding up very well on iTunes, currently the 13th best selling artist album (Taking out Compilations)

I would hope we will see some midweeks charts tomorrow to provide us with an indication.

That is a superb result for this week. I would have hope she wont drop any lower and if anything may improve.
