Posted January 14, 20169 yr Thought it would be a good time to start a discussion thread for her next album as she's already been in the studio a bunch and looks like she's recorded a few tracks. Flashy @YFlashyMusic Wait untill yall hear this @leonalewis track tho... Thats all ima say Link His stuff is very urban - so perhaps a return to R&B for Leona? :cheer: Producers involved: Alesso Ryan Tedder Max Martin Edited October 16, 20222 yr by Envoirment
January 14, 20169 yr I wouldn't mind a return to the sound of Spirit. She sounds great on R&B tracks! Edited January 14, 20169 yr by burbe
January 14, 20169 yr I figured with Def Jam involved they would want Leona to go down a more urban path.
January 14, 20169 yr R&B Leona yes yes yes and yes. Love her in this genre  I want to see Drake, Weeknd, Kendrick (etc) collaborations - all Leona needs is a big collab with a relevant artist and the world will re-open their eyes.

January 15, 20169 yr Author Return? I'm struggling to think of an R&B single she's released. Her demo album and stuff pre-X factor was very much R&B and Spirit was R&B infused pop. Her voice definitely shines best in the R&B genre. Been wanting her to do a full on R&B album for some time.
January 15, 20169 yr I hope Leona doesn't return to urban. It doesn't suit her voice or make best use of her voice.
January 15, 20169 yr Probably a re-relesse. This smacks of Victoria Beckham's planned rnb album.due to her U.S label and producer's influence.
January 15, 20169 yr Hopefully something materialises this year. :D Btw, maybe we should change it to 6th album since the I Am threads say that was the fifth album. Return? I'm struggling to think of an R&B single she's released. It wasn't exactly her own single but have you heard this? JAE2Caq2FUE
January 15, 20169 yr I hope we get a Pop/R&B album this time around her voice is made for it imo. She has also worked with the band Life Of Dillon, King Henry (Producer) and Emmi (Singer/Songwriter).
January 15, 20169 yr Author I hope we get a Pop/R&B album this time around her voice is made for it imo. I guess she was writing with Emmi and Life of Dillon.
January 15, 20169 yr King Henry is more of an urban producer (R&B/Soul/Hip-Hop). I guess she was writing with Emmi and Life of Dillon. I still reckon that right now she shouldn't do a studio album and instead release several EP's specifically focusing on the US and try and build up a following and hopefully secure at least one or more moderate sized hits before releasing another album.
January 27, 20169 yr Absolutely. Like I said since the last flop she should forget about albums now like Alexandra Burke, at least for now. She's not big enough anymore.
March 14, 20169 yr Author With the tour now over, Leona will be back in the studio for her next album soon! :D
March 16, 20169 yr So excited for album 6. :D It's crazy to think that this will be her sixth record. :o Anyway I hope Def Jam get her in the studio with the likes of Sia, Ryan Tedder and Dev Hynes. I need some quality hits. Something to put her back on the map. Also, while she writes and records the next album, I hope she finally features on some high-profile records. Her voice would be heavenly on a commercial House record.
March 19, 20169 yr Agreed. A big feature or two is Leona really needs before she starts promoting and pushing album 6 when completed. Right now, the main thing is getting her name out there with a current hit.
