Would 'We Found Love' have really had the same impact for Leona though? It feels like that just came at the right moment for Rihanna following on from Loud and with Calvin Harris beginning to explode in popularity.

 

I have heard her demo, and although I think it's great and better, it probably wouldn't have been as big as Rihanna.

 

Leona didn't turn down WFL either, it was more because of some big egos in the industry. For Glassheart, most of the big songs she recorded (Blank Page, Burn, WFL, Perfectly You, ..) were all originated in the US while Syco mainly wanted UK producers, hence lots got scrapped.

Damn looking at songs Leona couldn’t release / turn down, Syco really did her dirty.

I'd absolutely love to hear her version of We Found Love.

 

And I really like her version of Burn. Her vocal is much better.

I really like the sound of this show and I hope Leona has picked a great song.

 

I would love to hear Leona's version of WFL. While it might not have been as big as it was for Rihanna as timing coming together is a huge factor, I'm sure it would still have been a big hit for Leona. It's an excellent song at the end of the day. I always saw this being Leona's modern 'I wanna dance with somebody' ala Whitney. :wub:

We will definitely get a new song around about August because of the show she is involved with in the US, Songland.

 

So that is definitely coming.

I love Leona like absolutely LOVE her.

 

I could write essays upon essays on how awful her team was.

 

One of the best UK voices EVER only to be given the worst choices of singles of any artist ever in my opinion.

 

So many poor single choices when she has such strong material in terms of album tracks and tracks she snubbed.

 

That said I’m here for a new studio album from her :wub:

She shot a music video yesterday but its for the Songland song, so we will get that August/September time and apparently its uptempo.

I'm SO ready for new Leona. I've been hammering her stuff a lot, recently and it's just making me crave more. I hope her X Factor All Stars thing will make people remember why she is often considered the best winner.

I’ve always wanted to hear it and I’ve never been able to find it.

If Leona is taking part in the upcoming All Stars X Factor i would expect she has some new material lined up to release to take advantage of the exposure.

I am also not seeing any other but for her to return to working with Syco too.

 

I would only want her to go back to Syco if her management can negotiate a better contract for her with a new team (not sure how easy that would be lol). The two pros of going back to Syco are 1. the label being far past its heyday with top priority acts like LM and 1D gone and XF is dying a death 2. they presumably own the rights to CWL and I'd be well up for a second Christmas edition/Mr Right promo. :lol:

 

As for XF All Stars I'm in two minds. I think she'll deliver the goods and impress, but she set the bar so high for herself in 2006 and social media can be so cruel. :lol: But from the live performances she's done this year, she should be on form so fingers crossed. She just has to do Summertime again. The thought of it gives me goosebumps!!

Syco have lost all their big names now and really have no big seller at the moment so Leona returning may give her some form of priority.

I honestly cant see any other stars of future series( if they go ahead outside this years all stars and celebrity versions) so Leona may possibly greatly benefit from returning if that is the route she is going to take.

With her music career now appearing lost i cant see how returning to Syco could do anything but good.

If the process has already started they should be planning on re-promoting her Christmas album as it does have potential for more sales.

A few performances of One More Sleep could also see it make a Top 10 or higher return.
