Omg :o I remember hearing 7 Years at some point in the autumn and thinking it might do something here with a push. But No.1...not quite what I expected!

More posts concerning the Lukas slayage in the chart and fewer on (the negative) opinions on the song please <_<

Glad I'm liking both songs now though :cheer:

Wouldn't mind 7 Years at #1. I like the storytelling aspect of the song which separates from the rest of the plethora of radio-spammed ballads of recent years.
I've not even heard the Lukas Graham track myself yet, I've lost touch with the recent chart music, I've hardly been listening to the chart on Fridays lately, I just don't have the time like I used to, since the chart move it has been horrendous. I just wish they left it as it was, with the chart rundown on Sundays.

How would it work though, if the chart is announced two days before the rundown of it?

If "7 Years" does go to #1 officially, it would be interesting to see how MTV will broadcast the video on their show seeing as they're refusing to show the video as they think it's unsuitable for their show

:kink: first time i saw someone mention the 7 years song i thought they were exaggerating someone s reign at number 1

Its nota bad tune though

Any reasoning behind why they think it's unsuitable? wtf

I can imagine 7 Years will increase its lead this week by a decent margin of especially as radio 1 support begins and it gets increased audience, I think it's a fantastic track and a decent spell at no1 would be perfect for it!
Is it because Lukas from the band is topless for like 5 seconds in the video? Lol

Yeah the topless parts are the only bits I can think of, a bit silly if it's banned for that reason

7 Years pulling ahead massively already, and this is mostly just down to a few Radio 1 plays today :o Insane!

Bright green at night *_*

Fully prepared for this to be one of the biggest songs of the year now tbh

I actually wouldn't be surprised if 7 Years ends up as the EOY #1, it's quite clearly gonna stick around a while and has wide appeal! And this is all before proper Radio 1 airplay. Insane.
Since when do videos not get played due to a GUY being topless? If he was toned, etc, this wouldn't even be an issue. Disgusting if that's the case

A random one of many example of a video that included a shirtless man, which was not banned.

I'm not sure about the Official chart but on iTunes I can see Lukas Graham being top for about 5 or 6 weeks.
