It seems like A) She's basically forgotten it exists and B) It tends to get paid dust, which is unfair as it is 100% her best song and one of the most underrated songs this decade. :(

It really is SO underrated, what a song.

Frustratingly according to SetlistFM, she had a different setlist last night which didn't include

Surrender

. I'll be pressed if she does a Birdy and does a different setlist for EVERY single show :drama:

I saw her performance is Sydney last night with the SSO, she was incredible, so was the orchestra.

 

Lullaby, Guilt, Warrior all sound amazing with an orchestra.

I bet Guilty was a moment with the orchestra. The song lends itself perfectly for that sort of performance.

Music Week has Kings And Queens down for a May 18th impact date so looks like that is the next single!

Kings and Queens is the second most streamed album track from The Architect on Spotify (behind I'll Be Gentle), and it's currently within her popular 10 tracks. I wouldn't be surprised if that influenced the decision?

 

For what it's worth I think it's a good choice of single. It has a bit of a Haim vibe going on, it'll sound great on radio!

They need to push "Kings and Queens" back slightly as it's looking like "Make Your Own Kind of Music" is going to do something!

I'd love to see 'My Body' be a single if just for the video, it went OFF on tour :(

 

They're obviously basing the singles not on what they'll sell but what'll get played most on radio and shift copies of the album best and Kings And Queens is probably better than warrior for that, as much as I like both.

That AND "Lullaby" is currently top 10 AND it doesn't even feel that long since "Til I'm Done" came out officially! Not that that actually did anything. However, I think the constant exposure for Paloma this era is really working for her. I think it works really well in the climate we now have.

 

Oh and great choice for single may I add! She's really on fire! I feel "Warrior" would be a much more lacklustre choice than this one. Good track but I think it's an album track.

Probably. I’d love Warrior to be a huge smash but it’s just never going to happen :( I suppose as long as the album is doing well it doesn’t really matter.

I dont think it matters which singles she releases, they will never chart high. She is an album artist (all three previous albums have amassed over 80 weeks in the top 100). Im just glad we have such a strong album from her and that she got her first Number 1.

Very excited for the video. You can tell she really enjoys making them too! The one for ‘Til I’m Done’ was on point (and is now probably one of my favourite tracks she’s put out!) - Warrior is good too. Strong singles this album, and a fairly strong album too.
