It’s going to be a close battle between Adele and Jack Garratt for the number 1 album, she’s sneaking up like a baboon after an apple slice.

I doubt it'll go as high as #2, but it possibly could if the video effect is strong enough
Listened to the Jack Garratt album.... Utter rubbish!

I wouldn't go that far, though it wasn't as good as I was expecting. There didn't seem to be a flow to it :(

It is #2 on streaming and #3 on itunes, with the video coming today, surely it will be #2.

Oh dear, I thought it was still #4 a fair bit behind Fast Car but it's actually quite a bit closer than I expected. Let's hope her video effect is big enough then

what about the video for When we were young? is that coming too??
hoping the brits can push secret love song into the top 5 even if they're not performing it but I think lush life will get top 5 instead.

Probably, it could actually fall this week and then climb again the week after as they're performing a medley on Ant and Dec this Saturday, too.

Mike Posner top 10 now, surely coming for at least top 20 on Friday?! :D :D

#16 in today's update

Looks like Adele will rob Jack Garratt of #1 album. Alan Walker and Selena Gomez are at #42 and #44 which means they could both go top 40 by Friday

Music Week have reported that the top 2 albums have sold the same amount of copies. It's probably an error but if it is true it will be the closest battle for the the number 1 since September 2005 when the top 2 compilation albums sold the exact same copies (as did the number 4 and 5 singles the very same week)!

and Cheap Thrills is #41

The OCC article (as included in the above midweek summary) says that Jack Garratt is 3k ahead.

I did think it was an error by Coral Williamson at Music Week...

It will be a shame for Jack to lose out to Adele. He's infinitely more interesting.
Wonder whether "Best Of Bowie" has an outside chance of number 1 this week, it doesn't seem to be that far behind Adele and there is a very special Tribute lined up at Brits (ie one that is not all about the performing artist a la Lady Gaga)
