The fact they were 5000-1 just shows at the time how frankly ludicrous this outcome was perceived to be!

I can see there being thousands of similar bets to this next season on teams like Watford, Swansea or even Burnley now!

Their match against Everton on Saturday will be the happiest moment of football in general since 1966. The pitch invasion at the end of that match will be absolutely incredible to see and of course they will get the trophy as well.
Congrats to Leicester....of course, I know a couple who live in Leicester, she's not a football fan, he roots for an Italian team.....methinks she's not going out in the Leicester madness that is celebratory the entire week....

How ill disciplined were Tottenham tonight they let the occasion get to them, they were very lucky to have eleven men on the pitch. 9 yellow cards.

Great result! Would have hated Spurs to win the league

Best team over the season won, and a fabulous sporting achievement. Interested to see what happens next!

I meant about Ranieri only losing to the Faroe Islands once when he was at Greece. Give him the key to the city and Leicester City: Sports Personality Team of the Year and him Coach of the Year please.
In watching the post match banter between Robbie Earle, Robbie Mustoe and Steve Bower, Robbie Earle said that with Leicester winning the league title this year, it'll give all the squads who one might not possibly consider like Swansea or the freshly promoted Burnley for next season the impetus to say 'we can pull off a Leicester this season'....

Yeah I reckon Leicester will/should win the Team Of The Year award during BBC Sports Personality Of The Year and Claudio Ranieri will get the Coach Of The Year award. Martin Tyler said that Eden Hazard scored the goal that won the league for Chelsea last season and now he's scored the goal that won the league for Leicester this season.

Absolutely no chance  This was a complete one-off, which is why it's special. This is a once in a generation moment. Normal service will be resumed next year, there is no way all of the top teams will be as collectively bad. Shows the importance of having a great start to the season.

Well, it'll be interesting to see what happens with next season when it starts in August....

I don't think anything can be taken for granted now! Jamie Carragher made an interesting point on MNF about whether this result will change football now. Teams realising you don't need to spend big to necessarily win titles.

How Leicester manage next season will be a fascinating story in itself, will their fans get rowdy if it comes Christmas & they're not in the top 4? Who knows?!

Wow, congratulations to Leicester - this has been the only season in my lifetime that I can remember being interested in who won the League right down to the very end, it's just incredible how much they've managed to overturn expectations. I mean, I along with everyone else I imagine is wishing I'd forgotten about some money chucked on them at 5000-1.

Can see the inevitability of normal service resumed next season but my god I hope we get more seasons like this, it's great for the sport, just look at the amount of interest this story's generated across the WORLD. Maybe at worst root on Tottenham for next season seeing as they came very close this time.

I think there's a chance that today might have been the start of a new era for English football, I wont be surprised (next time) if Leicester challenge for the title again. There's not many signs at the moment to suggest that complete normal service will be resumed next season.
As someone who's not followed as closely the BPL as those of you who live in the UK, it's definitely nice to see a different team other than the 'giants' of the league take the title for a change....perhaps, as has been mentioned elsewhere in various broadcasts on television, this will give other smaller clubs the impetus to say 'we can do what Leicester did' and really mix things up the next few seasons...

You don't need to spend big, but you need a player who will score you 20 league goals!

Expect next season they will just have a free pass, as long as they're in the top half

After Leicester drew their match the other day, I was getting worried they were going to throe it all away at the last moment so very pleased to see them take the crown. It's always great to see the underdog win, very pleased :D

A fantastic achievement quite literally against the odds! Congratulations to Leicester, throughly deserved.

Interesting to note that with Kasper Schmeichel now being part of a team that has won the Premiership title we now have the second ever father-son winners of the league (following on from Ian Wright and Shaun Wright-Phillips).

Since Liverpool last won the title (1990.. don't worry - you won't remember it!) Peter Schmeichel has become a professional goalkeeper, been part of a team that won the league 5 times, had a son, and that son has gone on to become a professional goalkeeper and won a title. Pretty impressive.

Leicester will probably finish 12th or something next season and everyone will be complaining about how all the big teams are ruining the game again. Hope they enjoy it while it lasts.
