They should have at least waited for the last match to be played before sacking him. It's a shame because he is a good manager but Everton just look drained of motivation at the moment.

If he would have been at Goodison at the weekend, he would have been vilified by the fans. It's not worth the embarrassment from the owners side. At least now all the protests will be thrown under the carpet and attract less media attention.

What drama this is for Louis Van Gaal's final match at Old Trafford! So our match will be the very last match of this season then.
Yes, the match has apparently been abandoned. With the Cup Final next weekend, there is now a bit of a problem in getting the match played.

No apparently about it, the match has officially been abandoned for today, due to a suspect device found somewhere on the grounds of Old Trafford....more news to come, from my understanding, as it becomes available....

A very strange end to the most strange season in the history of the Premier League!

What's gonna happen for the Premier League prediction competition now? I put Juan Mata in my fantasy team for the first time in ages today as well :drama:

Have read on another forum, all fans were being patted down before entering the stadium, so obviously there must be more too it than that. It poses a difficult challenge to get the game played now, but crowd safety is always of the upmost importance. I feel sorry for all the fans that have to travel up from the South. And Bournemouth fans as well.

Nice dig at southern-based Man U fans there

I had thought about going to Old Trafford myself, having never been there. I'm very glad I didn't now.

Only thing I can think of is the Manchester United/Bournemouth fixture not be counted until if/when that can make up the match......OR everyone who's made predictions for the fixture be allotted 2 points as the fixture postponement was an unforeseen happening.....

Funniest thing at the moment is Spurs  How very Spurs-like they're currently going to finish below Arsenal.

The fans that made the trip to Old Trafford today will surely either get a full refund of their tickets or they will be invited back for free to the replay. It's people who have to travel by coach that would have the most problems, it would be a pain in the arse to get a refund of their coach tickets I would imagine.

I hope that it wasn't a real bomb that was in the stadium. From a personal point of view this has made me feel very relieved that this didn't happen on the 26th September when I watched us play Sunderland at Old Trafford.

I'm pretty sure tickets will still be valid for the rearranged match, as long as people have kept the stub. However, rather a lot of people won't be able to make it for a match on a weekday night. I suspect it's up to the club whether they offer a refund. If they want good PR, they will do so. Travel expenses are a completely different matter. Anyone who used a coach organised by Bournemouth may, at the very least, get a free trip to the rearranged match. Other fans will be lucky to get anything.

A Cup match at Bournemouth was postponed at short notice last season. Bournemouth fans clubbed together and paid for a lot of the away supporters to travel to the rearranged match.

That suspect device found in the northwest quadrant of the stands, from what I just heard on telly from a reporter at Old Trafford, will be detonated where it sits....
Two horse race for the title and Spurs will finish 3rd in the league  They have absolutely no chance of winning the league next year.

Chelsea finishing in 10th place

Wow at Leicester winning the league with a 10 point margin!

Very dramatic stuff there at OT, very interesting to see when the replay will be held given our involvement in the FA Cup also which poses some complications.

There's always a bonkers last day scoreline every season, last season when Stoke beat Liverpool 6-1 or WBA 5-5 United, this year Spurs on the receiving end. But I have to laugh at this neverending run of finishing below Arsenal

It is likely that some Bournemouth players are due to go on holiday over the next few days. I assume the Premier League will expect them to change their plans to prevent Southampton complaining about them putting out an under-strength side.
If only Newcastle did this throughout the season, pointless saving that for now when they've already been relegated.
Southampton are guaranteed Europa League football now whatever so I don't think they'll be too fussed. Had West Ham won today of course that would have changed everything as they would be relying on United beating Palace for the FA Cup.
