It will be weird not seeing Aston Villa on Match Of The Day next season. They've been in the top flight for my whole existence but they've been the "Wigan" of the last few years so it's about time that it happened. I wont be surprised if they get relegated again to League One.
It might not happen next season but they don't look strong enough to bounce back, they're even worse than the likes of Wigan, Bolton, Portsmouth who went down again.
However they're not as bad as the 2007/08 Derby side who managed to avoid a double relegation. They still of course are yet to return the Premiership but seem to be on the verge every year now!

Norwich are well and truly fooked after their loss against Sunderland today.

This is their run in:

Sat 30 April Arsenal (A)

Sat 7 May Man Utd (H)

Wed 11 May Watford (H)

Sun 15 May Everton (A)

I can see them only getting 1 point at most from this list of fixtures and that wont be enough.

Newcastle also have a tough run-in, having to play Man City, Liverpool & Spurs so all points to a Sunderland survival although of course some teams won't have anything to play for soon which changes the complexion.
Sunderland just like Aston Villa and Wigan a few years ago have been constantly flirting with relegation. They're surely going to get what's coming to them at some point soon even if they survive again this season.
Villa just symbolise how a badly run club can drop away even if they are a 'big club'. Don't think they'll drop into the third or fourth tier just yet - they are a much bigger club than Pompey, Wigan or Bolton who are clubs that had long stays in the premiership but arent traditional top division clubs!

Sunderland/Newcastle will go to the wire. I think Norwich are down now, that defeat against Sunderland was not great. They have a tough run-in and not sure they have the quality or good enough manager to stay up.

Newcastle will get beat by City I expect, but reckon they could beat Liverpool/Spurs. Liverpool will play a weakened side and I expect Spurs will throw everything at Newcastle. If Benitez can get his team set up right, they could do Spurs over on the counter attack.

Newcastle are a massive bogey team for Spurs too. That's the final game of the season though & I expect it'll all be settled by then, Sunderland to pull clear in the next few fixtures unless Toon can get a shock result against City.
Sunderland have a very similar run-in to Norwich. I actually think it will be Newcastle who survive (as much as it pains me to say it).
Arsenal might be bottle jobs but we can always count on them to be in their familiar position of 4th.

The lack of remorse in this interview from Joleon Lescott is hilarious , if there was ever a "who cares, i'm not gonna be here next season anyway" interview this would be it

It reminds me of when someone is in their last day in a job and they handover their duties to someone else.

If Leicester win the league by a point after that I will be fuming.

1 point could be what makes the difference in the end because Tottenham have a better goal difference than Leicester. It would be a heart-breaking end to the season if a Man Utd/City 2012 scenario happened again where it comes down to goal difference!

If Leicester had lost today, I do wonder whether Spurs might have caught them. But think that point will make all the difference, that said, pressure is well and truly on now. If they slip up, Spurs could sneak it.

I understand what Lescott meant, and I don't think he meant it in the way it's been interpreted by the media. That said, if you were a Villa fan, you'd be mortified.

Brilliant effort from Liverpool today, 10 changes and we got 3 points! Slightly surprised I must admit. Anyone doubting Sturridge knows nothing about football! Guy was unbelievable today. If we can keep him fit for 2/3rds of the season, I'd be really confident about next season.
