I've checked on all the EPs available for the single worldwide and can't seem to find an extended original version  If it exists and is found, would be good to share on here!

I have a feeling I may have acquired it via Moopy at the time - if I find it again I'll share (although it is now already overhyped!)

I've just been googling extended mixes and there's a lot so it'd be near impossible to find the right one unless you knew exactly what it was. This one for example (fan made) has an extended intro/outro (eek at 4.45 onwards though )

I wonder if this is her most remixed track? Even SPADZ knows remixes of it we've never heard of before!

If it's bitter at the start, then it's sweeter in the end

The #20 song is Get Together, the third single taken from 'Confessions on a Dancefloor'. From the moment it starts, Madonna sets up the warped, trippy vibes of the dark disco that the song will continue to move along. Lyrically it's a little more subdued and ambigious than a lot else on the album, relying on the refrain and the repeated allusions to a lover on the dancefloor and seems to perfectly depict the titular message of the album. Inspired by Stardust's 'The Music Sounds Better With You' it's a dark song filled to the brim with secrecy and intrigue and this is its appeal. Despite all of this it did not ignite the Billboard Hot 100, but was a chart success in other places across the globe and was nominated for Best Dance Recording at the Grammys. Not her most commercial of singles but a strong point of the album and one of its more less-generic moments but still in keeping with its intense dancefloor vibes. A stunning single, where Madonna's vocals are both the DJ and the mysterious shadow grooving on the dancefloor.

If Jump had been switched with that, that would Have been a much more satisfying result. It's good and I particularly love the cold ending love version, but it's often overrated.
I think 20th is about right for 'Get Together'. It's a fantastic single that seems to musically and lyrically sum up the album its on. Always overshadowed by the other two bigger singles that came before it I feel, but it's a stunner whenever I hear it.

Think with your heart, not with your head

19. Deeper and Deeper // Erotica // 8.39

(3: 🌚🌚🌚 5: Chapman, 6.5: 360Jupiter // 11: jark 10: vibe, Regina, dandy*, Mango, Bjork, Maurice, Qween, mr_pmt, HausofKubrick, Alejandjob)

Well this is a pleasant surprise, especially given it could only muster #47 in 2014's rate! :o Highest placed Erotica track is Deeper and Deeper, which in fact is the most unrepresentative of the album, instead building on the sounds portrayed in 'Vogue' (said influence being so strong that the song is referred to at the end). The lyrics tell of Madonna (or, as other interpretations put it, a man, who is coming to terms with his homosexuality) falling in love on the dance floor, all the while trying to recall the lessons her parents taught her before concluding it is best to just go with the flow. The production is proof of Madonna's knack for discovering exciting, inspiring pop moments with the juxtaposition of disco and house beats and the random but oh so perfect Spanish 'La Isla Bonita'-esque guitar breakdown, emulating the confusion and ecstasy of the dance floor scene. Not only that, but the video captures all the emotions of this experience, along with its Andy Warhol homage and 'Ray of Light' meets 'Give It 2 Me' vibes, before Madonna ends the night with her balloon being popped, wink wink.

I read somewhere it was inspired by gay miners?

Either way one of my fave Madge songs.

Deeper and Deeper only #47 in 2014? :o That's just ridiculous. The random guitar breakdown is probably the highlight of it in some ways and really effectively prevents the track from potentially feeling too samey. Anyway, as my countdown last year showed, it's one of my 10 faves of hers and seems to just get better and better with age.

Deeper and Deeper is great, definitely the best track off Erotica

surprised at how well Jump and Get Together did... good tracks but imho they shouldn't be above classics like Borderline, Dress You Up or Crazy for You, they're good songs but no classics

A bit late getting back but Get Together, definitely my favourite Madonna song from Confessions and probably #2 overall. The single edit does not do it justice. Madonna has so many sounds in her back catalogue though, I'm biased towards that era because it was when I first came across her.

Both are great songs !!!

Deeper and deeper did well what an amazing track! Shame this track only peaked at number 7 !!!

In the US in definitely peaked at 7. I think there was mild outrage about it being one of her lowest selling singles at the time.

Like a calf down on its knees

18. Don't Tell Me // Music // 8.4

(5: Regina, harryflynn0908 7: Bjork, princess_lotti, mr_pmt, HausofKubrick, 360Jupiter // 11: dandy*, ♦ ketalina ♦ 10: Liam, Chapman, Kylie Jackson, Alejandjob, Ultraviolence1989, jark)

Originally written by her brother-in-law Joe Henry for his own album (which it did appear on), Don't Tell Me was altered and revamped into a country meets trip-hop track, commencing and continuing with a scratched-record-esque, jolty guitar rhythm that has become somewhat an iconic moment in Madonna's production history. The lyrics are essentially that of self-empowerment, suggesting that it would be much more realistic to stop natural events like the sun rising and rain falling than it would be to get her to stop doing what she wants. Not forgetting to mention that the listener's interpretation (commonly encouraged in Madonna's songs) could not be more relied on in regards to similes like "tell the bed not to lay like the open mouth of a grave" - does anyone know what this stuff actually means?

I love don't tell me !!!

No one can tell Madonna to stop !!!!
