Yeah, having a top 5 for a post album single is very difficult, especially for a pop band who've sold 500+ albums already. personally, I'll be happy with top 40, 200k sales and a faster race to 2x platinum for the album.

Yess, I'd be happy with a silver single too! I don't care if it peaks low (though I really think if they get their schedules right, a BGT performance could easily make them get another top 10

Yeah, I agree with the above. I can't see anything they'd release bothering the charts too much. I imagine they'd do much better on sales-only (as they always do), but if their previous 3 single can't take off properly on streaming (I suppose BM and SLS did alright, but they always felt like much bigger hits than their streaming suggested), then I don't imagine the 4th release will either.

 

Still rooting for 'Grown'. :kink: 'Weird People' would be a decent substitute for me. Just no 'Hair' or 'Lightning' please.

It's clear from the fact ADIDAS, Grown, Hair, Lightning, Weird People, OMG are all getting thrown out there, that this album doesn't have anymore clear stand out tracks like their previous two did. There is nothing outstanding, but several good tracks, so at least we won't have that OMG THEY NEVER RELEASED THAT, when the campaign is over.

I'm hoping if it is a single announcement that it's OMG for the next single I think radio would be all over that .If not OMG then I would be happy with ADIDAS as well. Weird People has grown on me a bit but it's still a bit cheesy IMO I think it would either do well or flop as a single .

'Lightning' and 'Love Me Or Leave Me' are both OUTSTANDING songs, but I just don't think the general buying public would be as into them as the fans are tbh. So I won't be too mad if they don't get released. Although I kinda want a 5th single and for LMOLM to get it coz I want a performance of that!

I'm happy enough with that. I was rooting for 'Weird People' or 'Lightning' but this was on the list of possible good singles too, plus it already has a Top 40 peak, suggesting it's generally more popular or at least has a lot of supporters.

 

I can imagine a fantastic BGT performance with an added instrumental for the middle 8 so that they can do a killer dance routine.

Well it's quite good, better than Grown and Lightning so :D

Probably my favourite song left, so on that basis alone, I'm very happy with this choice.

Listening to this now, I can see it sounding good on the radio. They had a massive video effect with a basic video for SLS, so hopefully the video for this gives it a good head start.

I wanted OMG or ADIDAS but Hair would have probably been 3rd choice so I'm alright with it being a single . Glad it isn't Grown or Weird People .

Let's be honest Weird People was only loved by couple of users on this forum, twitter was going nuts with a thought of that being single.

 

Hair will do really well, it's a catchy song and dare I say it's the strongest bop on the album :wub:

Great single choice. But I'd have been happy with any one of 'Hair', 'Weird People' or 'Lightning'. I still don't think 'OMG' is a good single choice. That sound hasn't worked for Charli XCX or anyone in the charts before, so I don't see why it'd work for these girls, suddenly. 'Hair' is a perfect change of pace for them.
