Let's remenber the Drake songs will slow down too once the hype dies down, as with every new release by a popular artist.

I can remember a Top 10 with 5 new entries but your question includes Albums that have climbed into the Top 10 as well which makes it harder to track (unless someone has a recollection of a chart where 7 Albums entered the Top 10).

I just meant when was the last time anything like this happened. This many new top 10 entries

Based on Monday's update there were six new entries and one re-entry (Sia) in Top 10 Albums but this is quite early in the week and I suspect one or two of these may slip out of Top 10 (surely Babymetal won't stay).

The chart I remember with 5 brand new entries was 23/3/2014.

Also noticed chart of 22/5/2005 where Top 3 were all new entries (wonder how many times this has happened).

Surely it's not that rare for the Top 3 to be all new entries?

I don't think it is that common but on the 18th November 2012 all the Top 3 were new entries (1D, Rod Stewart & Rolling Stones), there was an additional 2 new entries and 1 climber into Top 10 so six entries into Top 10.

Hoping it's only the start to a long road of chart slaying for Galantis :)
Well, I guess Pet Shop Boys won't outsell ZAYN then :( Oh well

you really were expecting PSB to do more than Zayn!!??!!

looks like we've lost Jay Sean, could be at #41 :)

guess Drake´s tracks were not registered in time or something, guess they'll show up tomorrow

Jay Sean is a fair bit lower than #41 ~

Drake's tracks have no reason not to show up, it's strange, unless they're purposely excluded  I bet they will show up tomorrow but I was definitely expecting them today, they only need to have sold about 2k to be top 200

Looks like The Vamps should comfortably stay top 40 then, probably high 30s.

Although I'm not over keen on the track itself, it'd be nice for AlunaGeorge to snag at least one top 40 week.

Pet Shop Boys doing great, Super has now sold about what Electric did in week 1 (although that was a much better album)

Tbf Zayn seems to genuinely not care. On both sides of the pond, Zayn has been a ghost. But he has more presence in the US. The whole thing seems to be a vehicle to promote GH.

In addition, last year Zayn made an enemy of LM stan, and a good portion of 1d, the latter of which were pissed the album was out on his leaving anivefsary.

actually, just so people don't take that as the consensus, in a poll of more than 400 people on the geowayne site

Super better than Electric 41%

Electric better than Super 32%

Both albums about equal 21%

Really puts in to perspective though both lukas graham and LSP comfortably outsold zayn shame Lukas you shoulda realeased last week

Saying that is haVing a number 1 album that big a deal anymore for example LM , JB , EG etc havent reached number 1 but yet are selling consistently week in week out isnt that a bigger achievement

Oh and just curious how far has zayn actually fallen

Both albums are great. I'd put "Electric" above "Super" because of "Twenty Something" & "Sad Robot World" dragging down the latter a bit.

Not really, but it looked like a possibility on Monday.

Been listening to Super on Spotify. Love it. Love Pop Kids. Yes was the last album of theirs I bought and listened to. Will seek out the previous two albums.
FYI, Zayn is currently #11 and is on track to be #9 and that's not taking into account the extra streams he'll be missing. Knew he'd sneak back in.
