Biography

Meghan Elizabeth Trainor (born December 22, 1993) is an American singer-songwriter and record producer. Born and raised in Nantucket, Massachusetts, Trainor wrote, recorded, performed and produced three independently-released albums between ages 15 and 17. In 2011, she signed a publishing deal with Big Yellow Dog Music, and pursued a career in songwriting.

After signing a record deal with Epic Records in 2014, Trainor rose to fame with the release of her major-label debut studio album, Title (2015). The album debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200, went on to sell over one million copies domestically, and produced four top 20 singles: "All About That Bass", "Lips Are Movin", "Dear Future Husband", and "Like I'm Gonna Lose You". Her second major release, Thank You, is scheduled for release on May 13, 2016, preceded by its lead single "No", which has reached the top-three on the Billboard Hot 100.

Prominently influenced by the 1950s and 1960s eras in music, Trainor's music has been noted for its retro style aesthetic. Common themes in her lyrics include subjects of modern womanhood, body image, and empowerment. Trainor's work has been recognized with several awards and nominations, including a Grammy Award, Music Business Association's Breakthrough Artist of the Year accolade and two Billboard Music Awards. - Wikipedia

Shame Meghan just missed the top 10! Should get there next week I hope.

No is really good, it's a shame it missed the top 10 in favour of Work.

Hurrah, worst song of the year out of the top 10!

Shame NO isn't in the top 10 this week :D

All Saints #3 on the album chart! :o

Great to see Adele not being number one and All Saints top 3!

Shame NO has just missed the top 10 in favour of the incredibly stale (for me) Work but I'm sure it'll make it next week :D

This track is a big NO.

All Saints #3 in the albums. :o I totally did not expect that!

wow @ The Lumineers getting #1! the original chart saviours have done it again *_*

No is really growing on me, I can't deny, as much as I continue to say I'd probably love it much more sung by someone else who gave it more of a punch.

This is great :music:

All Saints being at #3 is fantastic for them!! Thought it might slip to #6 so I'm really happy with that :D
