8. Meghan Trainor- NO

Although I'm not the greatest fan of her music, I wouldn't say 'No' to her though.

Prince has died. I assume Purple Rain will be top 10 by tonight.
Very sad news about Prince, RIP. I am sure we can expect a full invasion of Prince songs to fly up the itunes chart.

Or songs from the 1989 Batman movie

An unbelievable loss of an undisputed legend. :( R.I.P.

I presume Purple Rain, When Doves Cry, and Kiss have the best chances of going top 40 next week?

Don't forget 1999.

Purple Rain will most likely do the best would i would rather wonderful songs like cream, little red covet, i would die for you to perform well. These songs criminally under-performed when originally released.
Seeing at the highest a Bowie song got was #11, without streaming I'm not certain how Prince will do - the Bowie songs began to free-fall after about 3 days. Maybe a couple of songs could scrape the top 40 though.
The no streaming effect will prevent a mass of top 40 re-entries but his album i believe will do well. Potentially some of the Prince less known albums of recent years may experience large sales boosts.
Genuinely more shaken by this news than Bowie. 57 is no age. An absolute legend. I don't know how much mass appeal he has anymore but I'd suspect a fair few hits will re-enter at least for a while....could be as much impact as Bowie had?

I hate even the thought of posting this because it makes it real.

I too am more skaken by the news of Prince dying than David Bowie. Musically i much prefered Prince as he has had some wonderful songs. This aside, Prince was much younger and it feels more of a shock.
Wow, wasn't expecting that at all! RIP Prince. His songs will likely sell the most tomorrow which'll be the start of a new tracking week, so I can see "Purple Rain" entering the top 40. Although I'm hoping a greatest hits album or something will be put up on spotify.
